Re: Joe Bonamassa master torrent thread

Am I correct in assuming a zoom h2 is no good for recording torrents?

Excellent! Thanks Steve!

As they say - better late than never!

Nights 2 and 3 of a 3 night stand if I remember correctly.

You are correct Lee, nights 2 & 3.  I have sat on these recordings for awhile because I didn't want to endanger those that may have recorded it from the venue (not me!) and the person that traded the recordings to me. But enough time has now passed and Joe will never play the lounge again, so here they are.  The dates are on db.etree, so I don't think I am the only person who has had them.

Using this with the internal mics will not likely give you very pleasing results. Better use some external mics.
Check out Church Audio mics.

Here's the direct link to the South Orange show posted by dsiebenh in the review topic -

The Zoom H2 is nowhere near as good as a $5000 rig with batteries, Neumann mics, etc. However, it does produce listenable results. It fits in a shirt pocket which makes it completely useable in situations where visibility is an issue. I've done about 10 shows and they are getting better over time. The link to my recording of the South Orange show posted in the thread above is an example of a Zoom recording and I think you will enjoy it. I spent about 1 hour using Audacity EQ afterwards. Still have some learning to do. The key is in mastering Audacity-  but I like to get my recordings out right after the show and not spend too much time playing around.

For the money it is absolutely amazing.

I used one to record a Springsteen charity show in a small theatre, and had 15,000 downloads. So even if the recording quality is not up there with the best, it still produces an excellent document of the event.

Hey people, listen up!!!

Anybody who hasn't already got this, JUMP on it, there is some sensational stuff on here!!! Again, big thanks to Belexes for posting.

I was particularly impressed by P&S (no surprise there), ANDY, I know where I belong and a killer Had to cry. To be honest, I was really looking forward to the two Hendrix numbers, but those are the only ones to disappoint - tho' with Joe 'disappointment' is a relative term! wink

Comments:

Great show from Joe and the band for the last show of what is called "8th week marathon tour".
My second time attending a Joe's Show and I am still more impressed than the first time (here you can find the recording)

http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-deta … ?id=224303

Longer show, more intensity...what a great show!

As somebody said to Joe during the show: "Joe, eres el puto amo"...I do not know how to translate this...

The other time I taped using my CSB so this time I tested with cardioid...and the recording is brilliant.

Woah ya dancer, thanks for the heads up! I was there too. What a show, what a performer. Shame about the Academy's poor acoustics though.
