Re: R.I.P. Thread

RIP Danny Aiello, one of my favorite actors through the years, he was 86. Hudson Hawk is a really good movie even though the critics didn't like it all that much, worth watching more than one time for me

Re: R.I.P. Thread

guess I'm elected since Bill S and myself are pretty much the last of the NBA fans here. You remember where you were when they announced that JFK was shot and killed ? And depending on where you were, they dismissed everyone from school that day, I was in the 4th grade. Kobe's passing was a cruel bolt of lightning, my son was sitting on the couch as I was watching Farmer's round 4 golf from La Jolla CA. I immediately thought of SRV and how immediate that reality was back in '89. I never was a Laker's fan, Bill S and I have to cheer for the pitiful teams like Atlanta and Chicago. OK, I had a good cry mostly because Gigi went down with him, and the others that left family behind as well. Simply put, he will be missed by so many worldwide, the whole of the NBA family will work through the grief, he will never be forgotten. Prayers and condolences go out to his wife and 3 daughters left behind

#8 / #24  RIP Kobe Bryant, you were very special to so many

A sad loss.
I’m old enough to remember the glam rock days of the 70’s.
As you say, they did the singles to keep the record label happy and then let rip at their live events.
Should have been on tour in Germany next week with UK in December.

R.I.P Jane R McGee
She was a great woman and Bonabuddy. I never met her in person but have been Joe friends with her since JBXP probably 10 years ago I guess. I enjoyed her friendship and being sistas Jane....she checked into her Facebook regularly and I always connected with all of the wide range of things she posted. I'd always hoped to hang out with her esp at Joe show.... sad

I have been on hiatus from the forum, but seeing this demands a response.

Jane McGee was a very good friend to me and such a sweet woman.  When so many "friends" on FB fell by the wayside, Jane remained the same kind person she always was.  For a long time after I discontinued FB, I kept Messenger for a handful of friends and "Tex" was included in that small group.
Like Big Jeff before her, I'm going to pray for my friend today.  This is very sad.
I have been going through some health issues of late, but I still have a lot to be thankful....

RIP Jane from your Bonabud Scott
