Condolences to Tarus52, Bob Lubbehusen, on the death of his Father. Poor Bob has a plate full. Both his parents went downhill quickly. He still has to transfer his Mom to a long term care home, prepare for his own impending surgery, and maintain sanity.  Cathy

Cathy, please convey our regrets, condolences and sympathies to Bob. I know he doesn't visit here often, and I'm sure he won't have the chance any time soon. Let us know if there's anything we can do... we're just up the road...

Bob doesn't have access to the internet for now, but, wants me to thank you all for your kind regards. He really appreciates it.

Yes, it was sad hearing about Larry Hagman this morning.  He was so good as the bumbling Nelson, but it'll be his J.R. role that will be the one most remembered.  He was one bad motha on the show of the 80's.

Sad too about Hector, but he put himself in the situation that cost him his life.  What a terrible waste and so, so young.

Loved Hawkwind and saw them twice in Chicago. Very entertaining shows.

Forgive me, Patty (and General, Sir), but I really want to say exactly what you have said above.  Even though I knew the future at Hot August Blues, I missed this R.I.P. thread and was surprised to learn of both parents at one time, and within a month...may they rest knowing their love and souls continue in you, Bob.

I think his greatest accomplishment was creating Nora Jones.

Indeed he did, Rick. I first listened to his ragas when I first dropped acid. He was a wonderful master of a very complex instrument.

Probably better known here as Oscar Madison, the messy roommate in "The Odd Couple ", co-starring with Tony Randall as neat and tidy and obsessive Felix Unger.

Re: R.I.P. Thread

Klugman was a great character actor.  I'm still trying to figure out if Eddie Murphy is dead or alive.  Reports say he died in a snowboarding accident in Switzerland this week.
