Ha, Jane, interesting find.  Petty is good but these other versions just point out to me how much more superior Joe's versions are...another example is Prisoner.  Both of these pieces are 1,000% better with Joe's arrangements and interpretations.  Ya'll agree?

Re: In 6 words or less

i agree with your point, but the Tom Petty song - you can click the 4 words to watch it - I made it a link as with most of my 6 words or less - uses same words in parts but COMPLETELY different song big_smile and vibe

I do think Joe's versions of covers are usually superior but a lot of times i never knew the original....sometimes I grow a new appreciation for the original after getting to know it. And FWIW just being an original gives so many points IMO. Joe DOES make covers his own and usually better IMO but I cringe when he has so many in an album or a setlist because his originals are better by default in my opinion, because he wrote or cowrote them.

Tonight is the first time I've listened through the whole video, not just the first amazing song you posted.  Have a myriad of thoughts now.

- our lovely Reese Wynans is amazing - note the shape of his fingers - extraordinary, backward alien type.  Reese - you've beeen holding yourself back all your life. Let it go once - it will feel free. You deserve it.

- Chris Layton  - so so so many hearts and kisses - you are lovely. Wish you everything good. Santa - please be good to him.

_  and to be able to pull off all of this while feeling the way he felt ( looking at his face i almost pased out myself several times)_ he was a true genius... RIP SRV . Thank you for looking down and watching over some individuals we all care about
