A killer sax!

Oh no! I still cringe when I hear Thorogood's newer stuff with the sax (well, it's 'newer' to me). Much preferred his pre-sax stuff. Don't get me wrong, I love good sax with music that's meant for it, but I don't feel it with BCC. Just like the horns didn't belong on The Door's 'Soft Parade' or The Stone's 'Sticky Fingers.' Uffda....

I can however listen to Gene Ammons for hours at a time, and I've worn out a couple Grover Washington Jr albums on vinyl.

Haha yeah I was just kidding around .. I don't think it'd fit either! Fingers crossed they record again!

Re: Afterglow

thanks for the heads up about the forum Dave. I have been meaning to get over to Glenn's message board more to get my BCC comments out but feel more comfortable at the band's site

oh and other instrument? would vote against but am open minded.

i have seen the increase of FB activity too but its been coincidentally timed with the other non official BCC page activity which had me slightly concerned

open mind but not letting my heart come out to play yet wink

They asked the question. What would you suggest?

I say don't add anything,if they want to experiment and it sounds good that's cool.I just don't know why they would ask a question like that for this band?

Re: Afterglow

Great interview.  Glenn is one passionate dude.  Always has been.  I think the tone is reasonable and certainly real for Glenn.  He does not try to dismiss or deny his frustrations.  I think he really wants the respect he has for the other members of BCC to be clear.  I'm thrilled that he really has an appetite to do more rock stuff.  The records he did with Tony Iommi and BCC are my absolute favorites of his long career.  Keep bringing it Glenn!

Glenn was on Rockline this week. He talks a bit about BCC in Segment 5. http://rocklineradio.com/replay/replay.php

Thanks for posting.  The shots in the studio are amusing.  Joe in a suit and the others all rocked out.  Is that a double neck guitar Joe is playing?

Re: Afterglow

Looks like it is all over for BBC folks.  I just saw a couple of posts from Glenn on facebook that pretty much drives the final nail(s).  I'm greatly thankful to have seen them when they were having a fun night on stage with each other.

Re: Afterglow

I saw a post that Glenn had lately that explained that He is writing a Rock CD, Jason and Derek are onboard and they're looking for a guitarist. He did add that J&R own the BCC name and won't let it go. New band, new name.  Good luck on the fresh start. I'll be waiting, but will reserve judgement until I hear who might be the new player and what it sounds like.

Re: Afterglow

Well it's bittersweet.  The great news is that it happened, love when super players get together to see what they can come up with.  They came up with some great music to last smile

Will just wait to see what happens, glad they are still going to give it a go.  Do it while the fire is burning.

Re: Afterglow

i'd have loved it to continue as the original members but only if good for all.

I hope Glen finds some peace with it all so that i can actually try to enjoy it moving forward.

such a fuggin roller coaster ride for me i can''t begin to describe my feelings and can only imagine what Joe must feel
