I just got a notice that Dweezel is touring doing Frank's music..He's in my area in August..Dare I hope he can pull it off?

Oh, I must respond to this. Get your tickets early for this one.

I am NOT a Frank Zappa fan but my husband is a huge one. I went with him and was blown away.

It's sort of like watching a rock orchestra, for lack of a better description. Dweezel was fantastic and so was everyone else in the band. I don't know enough to talk specifically about songs or heck, even band members, but the drummer from Zappas band plays on several songs and has a drum set that would fill my little house. The main singer is from his band and is amazing. The two backup singers/horns/keyboards are also amazing. You'll get to see Steve Vai who is far better to watch and enjoys his music and performing much more than many great "technician" guitarists.

It's worth the ticket price. If you're far back, bring binoculars. You'll wish you had. It was at a great place in ATL called the Tabernacle, a tall but shallow venue so every seat is good.

Definitely recommend!!!!
I dare say I'm at the very least a huge Dweezil Zappa fan. He did a great job! Frank would be very very proud!!

If you don't get right in front, it will still be good. The stage is FULL of instruments and activity. We watched from above and it was very cool. Just make sure you are taller than the person in front of you!!! :-)
