Re: Gov't Mule

Broke Down...is in Eb I think...most others in Standard I think....a couple in open too.
The nr Firebird was in Eb for Manchester and the Les Paul in standard...I believe.

I worked it out by ear...but having a quick look on the net...this might be something to get on with.

Re: Gov't Mule

As expected totally different set lists over the 2 nights. I really enjoyed the version of "Bus Stop" but I would have loved the Steppenwolf song. Wonder if they have ever played "The Pusher"?

Re: Gov't Mule

I was so engrossed by the music that I forgot to take any vids.... until the end. Here's the encore with Bernie Marsden & Paul Jones guesting:

Re: Gov't Mule

great show last night in nürnberg, even if there were some songs in the first part that was not really what i expected and never heard before.
hightlight was a cover of "cortez the killer" which didnt end and he played his heart in his guitar and the guitar in the heart of the audience that gave him such a big response after with clapping and shouting.
govt mule gave it their all and so did we............................and will do again saturday in winterbach. wow. what a band, i love it.

Re: Gov't Mule

After Nürnberg on Wednesday we saw another unbelievable show in Winterbach yesterday.

It´s amazing how their shows always have an individual character every night and how different (in the best possible way) they are from each other: while the show in Nürnberg started out with rather "obscure", unexpected songs (opened with Maggot Brain) that I´ve never heard live before and morphed into an intense jam-song night culminating in a breathtaking "Cortez the Killer", the show in Winterbach seemed to be a "best of Mule" setlist. You just know that nothing can go wrong if they start with Bad little doggie - Lola leave your light on - Any open Window - Inside Outside Woman Blues. To hear that and THEN I´ll be the one (with Blue Sky) and THEN the incredible cover of Levee breaks and if that wasn´t enough -- Into the Mystic on top of that...I was ready to start crying at that point.

This is a band that plays their soul out each and every night - they have what music is all about. You never know what you´re gonna get, but you always know that you will come out of the show feeling like you´ve experienced "soulshine", if you will.....

Can´t wait for Hot August Blues next month!

Rick, have you not seen them before? Well if not you are in for a rocking good night, what a show they put on! And no telling on the special guests, I would suspect he'll have somebody or 2 or 3 to sit in, always special. Have a great time of it.
