Hey Guys, here is my cover of the BCC song 'Song of Yesterday'... hope you like it!!
Peace and love always,
- Stefan!
(PS: Recorded it months ago!! Should have uploaded it then)
that is damn awesome Stefan. Except for just a few of the vocal parts (and we know his voice is not easy to cover) it is dead on. However when you got to the higher, more "excited" vocal parts I thought you sounded a little better than Glenn. Don't let that go to your head, keep on plugging. Guitar is excellent, nice work.
That was amazing Stefan!! SoY is one of my favourite BCC numbers, and you pulled it off really well !!
My only suggestions would be to bring the vocals forward a bit in the mix. Oh and perhaps roll off a _tad_ of gain on the intro guitar?
Did you play all instruments on this recording, as well as the all the vocal harmonies? I thought the slide guitar bits were superb - great tone and touch there. Nice solo too. Fantastic work overall !!
Thanks Guys!! I'm no vocal master!! I'm working really hard to improve my singing!!
And yes Devan I did play everything!!
Very well done Stefan. That is an ambitious cover!
Rick

Rick
I know Rick.... Always trying to challenge myself.... It's not amazing... It's okay... And for a song like that I don't think that's too bad.... Lots of improvement to be made though!!
Will upload a live version of Rocky Mountain Way soon
you been playing around with a "tube" wah, or will you use some combination of pedals? guess I should just wait for the final product, this sounds interesting. Oh, and I forgot about the slide.

Nah... Just had to combine wah and voice... Will eventually build a talk box and a theremin!!
Rock on,
