Boy, he can solo.  Great night (despite the snowstorm outside!). Believe his backing band for the night was the same Dana Fuchs uses in Europe - was that the case this time?

I saw Eric last week again at the same venue as in January - Herzog Ernst in Celle - and really loved it.
The backing band was the same as in January except the man at the Hammond Organ. His name is Bob Fridzema and he's on tour with Dana Fuchs these days.

Re: Eric Steckel's European/American Tour...

Same band then - and good they are too. A couple of months ago, Bob Fridzema sat in with King King.

Re: Eric Steckel's European/American Tour...

Saw Eric this weekend in Chambersburg, PA at a small festival. Kind of a tough crowd there. Very few knew him and he basically played under a tent on a parking lot, but he gave it his all. It's amazing to me the audacity of some people. Some guy walked right up to him while he was playing, put a hand on his shoulder and leaned in and asked him if he could sit in. This was right in the middle of his song. I really couldn't believe it. We talked with Eric for a while after the show and as he told us, you never know what you will encounter when you play live gigs. The night before, he played in Stanhope, and the crowd was wonderful, hanging on his every note. He's got a lot of touring coming up. Heading to Australia this summer for the first time for a small tour, then back and forth in the US and a bunch of shows in Europe in the Fall. His new album is doing well and he is very excited about the big tour schedule he has coming up. Nice to see things are going well for him.

Yeah, it was unbelievable. It's on the video I took. Happened at about 2:11 https://youtu.be/9CTYBBozXkM
I just looked at Eric shaking my head. The nerve of people.

Yes he did. I give him a lot of credit for that. Didn't miss a beat, just told him no, and kept right on playing as if it never happened.

I  am all set to see him in Woodstock, GA. just north of Atlanta in July at a new place called Madlife Stage and Studio, which opens soon and as the name implies is an active recording studio and performance venue. I've got an autographed copy of "Black Gold" and have introduced him, as well as Joe, to my sister. She's driving up from Savannah. We can't wait to hopefully meet him and his manager Jim Shoftner. As always Natasha, thank you for the videos, they will be well played until July.

Eric always sticks around after his shows and is happy talking with people, signing things and taking photos. So you will definitely be able to meet him. Not sure if Jim will be there. Sometimes he accompanies Eric on tour and sometimes he doesn't. Have a great time.

Re: Eric Steckel's European/American Tour...

This kid has unbelievable talent....I'm going to have to wait until he comes out west to see him...he is definitely on the top of my "must see" list.....
