Can't sleep and then remembered I have to post a song for yesterday's farewell with Doc.  For no particular reason I'm going to use "Take Me With You When You Go" by Jack White off his recent release Blunderbuss.  I included this song on the disc I made for him which tells you I haven't fallen into Barry Manilow melancholy ...yet (lol).

Hang tough my friend, your stronger than you can ever imagine....I have real bad insomnia these days (look at the time of this post), all because my wife has decided to go under the knife AGAINST the docs wishes....we have about 6 months to see if she survives this surgery......I would not wish this stress on ANYONE....I watch your threads real close, you are really being tested by the man upstairs

PS,
While typing my reply to you I wanted to send out a dedication to your wife and this song popped into my head right away.  Look up the meaning to the song (it has many).  This was the first professional group I ever saw back in '68 at the Ambassador Theater in Washington DC.  They don't make 'em like this anymore.

Really cool song Scott.....I have always loved it.....it was played alot back in the late 60s and early 70s on a radio staion from the SF bay area....Patty Santos had an amazing voice, one that you never forget.....the lyrics are beautiful, and are interpretational for your mood in my opinion...hey I dont want your thread hijacked, I hope people respect this....I'm a tough old SOB, been through hell and back more than a few times, so I'm going to be fine, my wife is at peace with the outcome too....by the way isnt that the same theater that Bobby Kennedy was shot, sorry it just popped in my head....back to the song.....:cool:

very sad day for my other family, Arthur IV's mother Jeanne passed away last night after a long bout with cancer. I actually have two children by her, Arthur IV and Jessica who is a little older. I spent some 20 years with her before we finally divorced in '94.
It was a blessing because she went downhill quickly and did not suffer much. I am relieved about that, but Arthur IV is really torn up. I'm glad he has been down in Mobile the last 3 weeks, they were with her last night when she passed. We became very good friends in the last few years, she was a great lady and I will miss her. RIP Jeanne, this is for you, oh how she loved to listen to Kirk.
