Re: What's your favorite Strat Single Coil?

So i got a set of Slider's 57's... A3 Neck/Mid and A5 Bridge... what a great pickup. Thicker sounding (more low end) than i expected in my Nash S-63 (ash body) but in an amazing way. Though my Swart Space Tone, absolute magic! Only had them in for a couple days now but am looking forward to getting to know them through my various amps

First impression compared to my Warmoth Strat (alder body) with a set of Lollar Dorty Blondes... the Sliders 57's are just a bit less airy.. still all strat, chimey yet smooth and very vocal... both great set's in their own right.

Thanks Andy... now i want a 66-69 RI Strat to throw in a set of Rod's 69's in  smile

Good to hear! I'm glad you like them. I'm sure Rod will wind you another set for what ever you need. Try them or another set in your Warmoth. Just to compare. smile

Enjoy!!

I've got Duncan Antiquities in my American Standard. Pretty great pickups.

Harmonic Design Vintage Strat Plus - http://www.harmonicdesign.net/allpages/strats.html

They're not as well know as a lot of companies but their pickups sound great - I have these in my mid 90s Strat Plus and their classic humbuckers in my Gibson ES-137.

Have you heard of Wildwood Guitar in Louisville, CO? The Wildwood 10 Series Strats sound and play pretty damn amazing right off the shelf. They're made by Fender exclusively for Wildwood and have been really well received.
