Re: Slash!!

Picked up the new disc a few days ago. Only 1 spin so far so that kinda tells ya what I think. Only a few songs caught my attention, I was expecting more.....maybe it's a grower?

Re: Slash!!

Some details of October UK gigs, I haven't found any more info as yet.

'Legendary former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has as of this morning confirmed an upcoming 5-date UK tour set for October. The gigs begin in Edinburgh at the city's Corn Exchange on October 7th and run through until October 15th when the guitarist and his band headline Newcastle's O2 Academy. The run of gigs also includes shows in Manchester, Birmingham and London.'

Hi Murray,

I saw Slash at the Hammersmith Apollo  in June, it was one of the best gigs I've been to. It was the way a rock concert should be, enjoy

I would have loved to have been at that gig, Halestorm were supporting i think and I'm a fan of theirs too. I was in London for Tom Petty then back down a couple of weeks later for Kenny Wayne Shepherd so another trip for Slash would have been too much!

I saw Slash in Edinburgh a couple of years ago, it was a superb gig so I'm looking forward to seeing them again in October. Are you going to any of the gigs in October?

I would love to, but it gets a little expensive. I live in Somerset so added to the ticket cost was train travel to London and a hotel for the night.

I was hoping for  he might have played at Bristol or Bournemouth which are both an hour away from home.

They were smokin in Berlin in June and blew Motley Crue away!!

Re: Slash!!

Velvet Revolver's Fall To Pieces came up on my randomized iPod.  Still ... wow!  Slash's melody riff on that song still gives me goosebumps.  I guess the whole song does.  It is one of the tastiest songs ever.  And performed to utter perfection.

Gibson 60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Reissue, Gibson LP Standard Faded CSB, Gibson Gary Moore LP Standard, Epi Joe Bonamassa GT LP, Epi Zakk Wylde LP, Dean Michael Schenker Flying V, Jackson Randy Rhoads V, ESP/LTD George Lynch Kamikaze, EVH Striped Series R/B/W, Fender/Squire John 5 Telecaster, Fender Joe Strummer Relic Telecaster
