Re: Update on the Tour Page

continued from the Does It Seem We Are We Losing Joe To The Europeans post....
...so having looked there, you see that Joe Bonamassa is becoming a troubador in the classic sense, and coming / going to more and more places than he himself probably imagined in youth (even as he was gigging)...take your pick, the Johhny Appleseed of the blues or the Johnny Cash of the day (Cue Johnny singing "I've been everywhere, man...) or the Johnny come lately to your neck of the luthier's hand-picked woods ( I know Joe's not a luthier, but just ask Mr. Gigliotti if Joe doesn't make guitars too)...bottom line, as stated in someone's post reply above patience, he'll get here or there most likely, most likely....

Not on the tour page, but I don't recall seeing this mentioned anywhere. Check out June 12: http://www.newportblues.com/schedule_main.asp?xrecord=6

This is the club where I  saw Joe perform for the first time last July and was completely blown away.  If the show is anything like last year, it will be loud and it will be awesome.  We were visiting friends in New York and drove down.  Well worth the drive.  smile

Roy, I guess we can forget about seeing Joe at Summerfest - we are losing all our blues artists to Europe.

Re: Update on the Tour Page

Roy - Yes, Northern Lights is a great venue - have seen many people there and really not a bad seat anywhere.  Do you know anything about the Pitman theater - like when tix go on sale - is it general admission?  I had heard that Shank was going to book him for 2 shows, but have seen nothing to indicate that either.  November is a long way away.....
Thanks Jacque

I believe tickets go on sale Sept. 10. It looks like a great venue. Good chance we'll be going to the Milwaukee show, Green Bay on the 5th and Wausau on the 6th.

p.s. Thanks Roy for the additional ticket info.

Re: Update on the Tour Page

Roy - No did not go to Shank Dec 10th because we saw all 4 shows at Oneida the week before - but I have been at most of Joe's shows at Shank before that.  Don't know if I'll be at Pittman for tix because I live 100 miles from Milw - might have to take my chances online or the phone.  Also plan on getting tix for the Oneida show Nov 5th.  I think those are general admission but not sure.  (By the way, I'm sure I am more "distinguished" than you!)

I don't see the Wausau show listed on Joe's Tour page. What am I missing? I'm tempted to take off work to see that show or one of the Green Bay shows too.

It's posted on pollstar.com. Here is Joe's page: http://www.pollstar.com/tour/searchall. … mp;PSKey=Y
Sometimes shows appear elsewhere before they show up on Joe's tour page. For example, I've purchased tickets to Joe's show at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, IA on Sept. 8, but you don't see that on the tour page yet (or on pollstar for that matter).
Here's a link to the Wausau venue. http://www.onartsblock.org/
Joe's show doesn't appear there either yet, but I called there and Joe is booked and tickets will go on sale sometime in August if I remember correctly.

HI Roy - Well guess what - I can almost beat you - 53 last month.
I don't know about the Vikings, but sure wish the Packers could've signed Moss - would have been interesting.

Re: Update on the Tour Page

Yes, it would have been wild - I would like to know if Thompson passed on him or did he decide to go with NE for a chance at a ring.  If Thompson passed I'd be pissed.

Jaci, Cooler heads probably prevailed. After watching Moss' prima donna, whining, & who gives a crap attitude in Oakland for a couple of seasons I don't know why any team would even waste there money on that worthless SOB. If he pulls that crap on Belichick the sparks will fly nationwide. Thank God the Browns didn't entertain any thoughts of signing that douche.

It looks like all they did was delete the past dates. Actually, I think overall management does a very good job updating the tour page. There are a lot of artists that hardly ever update. Most dates that aren't on the tour page are pretty easy to find.

PS. To Roy's question about the Vikings, I actually don't follow the NFL that much anymore even though I played football through high school and the NFL was one of my favorite things to watch. I don't really like the NFL game that much anymore - too many specialists, too many prima donnas, too many commercial breaks, etc. Brett Favre is the kind of football player I admire, though. Randy Moss is not. If Moss gets a boo-boo he can't play.

Re: Update on the Tour Page

We're talkin" some serious updating! It looks like Joe has a few shows with Willie Nelson. Interesting combo.

Re: Update on the Tour Page

Even though Favre to Moss would have been exciting to watch, I guess you guys are right- we don't need the big baby - let Beilchick handle him.  I absolutely love AJ Hawk - the NFL needs more players like him.  Also hope Aaron gets a chance - he deserves it.  Jacque
