Re: I'M BACCCCKK!! Thank you Classic Rock Magazine!!

In my area Barnes & Noble received the January issue on Jan 13th. Expecting Feb (Bonamassa) issue around Feb 10th. They said they get magazine deliveries every Friday. Not sure if it's the same across the country.

Same here. I checked again and they still have the same issue on the rack.

Re: I'M BACCCCKK!! Thank you Classic Rock Magazine!!

I'm lucky to get a copy yesterday...
The local B/N only had 4 issues when they came in on Saturday...
I'd call ahead to reserve a copy instead of wasting gas running around ...

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually.........

Guys, get your missus to buy you a 12 moth subscription for your birthday. You'll have it on the mat about a week after the UK.

Its one of the best reads out there whether you are in the UK or Timbucktoo!

Cheaper price too when you subscribe...........

There are two copies waiting for Cathy and me in Glasgow! I'll (finally) have them in hand by the end of the month. cool

Well, here it is, the end of the month, and I have just received two stunning, glossy, black mags in their own plastic wrapper.

First impression - cover truly stunning, have only skim read the article so far, but particularly enjoyed Roy's comments on the music business in general and promoters in particular. big_smile

A brilliant keepsake! I'm sure that Joe will wind up signing hundreds of these this year! cool

RIP Iron Man

Finally got one in my area.  Great Mag and article.

One question about the CD;  Where (when) is the recording of Sloe Gin from?

Re: I'M BACCCCKK!! Thank you Classic Rock Magazine!!

Hi Jane,

I found Roy's comments the most fascinating part of the interview, since it was all new news to me. And about Roy's dad and the Frank Sinatra connection, very cool. I've long thought Joe's rise to stardom followed that Sinatra song...I DID IT MY WAY. I think success & the article was therapeutic for Roy. wink There are just sometimes in life you BELIEVE so strongly, you stay true to yourself, work a little harder and tell the world to shove it... lol or F... OFF!! When you succeed and things start falling into place, the I told you so leaves you FEELIN' GOOD!!!

another interesting thing in the article is the part about Roy's father and Frank Sinatra. I met Roy once and mentioned I had read about the connection but he didn't have much to say about it at the time. I've been curious so there ya go. Thanks again for the info shared in the article, its definitely interesting.

Thanks, my memory retention is not so good.  All I could remember was something about JB not singing the first time.

I just picked up my copy at Barnes and Noble on my lunch hour.  Didn’t open it yet since I had to get back to work sad I want to enjoy it without any interruptions smile

Now the funny part!  Back in the summer when Joe was on the cover of Guitarist Magazine I went into to Barnes & Noble to pick up a copy it wasn’t in. The B & N employee in periodicals told me magazines arrive on Thursday check back.  Well next 2 Thursdays I went back and he recognized me and asked what magazine I was trying to find. He said the magazines UK usually take 4-6 weeks longer to arrive in the US. He took my name and number and said he would call me when it came in.  A few weeks later I had a message the magazine was in and at the register with my name on it.  He didn’t know who Joe was so when I picked up the Guitarist Magazine I took him a free down loan post card when I gave it to the gal at the register she thought it was nice of me to do (I gave her 1 too!) and she gave me 15% off on the magazine!  Today when I walked into the magazine section the same guy was there, when he saw me he said “I know exactly what you’re looking for!” I didn’t even have to tell him, he said he didn’t have them out yet and he went over to the cart with all the new magazines and pulled it right out! Needless to say, the folks at my Barnes and Noble are the best cool

I wish I could say the same. I went in and asked again today since it wasn't out. "Oh, it is in back, we'll get them out when there is time, maybe in the next few days. No, we don't reserve copies for anyone." sad
