Topic: Jane H., what's that picture?

I see you've changed your icon/avatar. What's that picture from? It looks like the Boston "Corporate America" album cover! Is there a story behind it?

I have to ask because Boston is among my all-time favorite bands...

Re: Jane H., what's that picture?

When I first saw the new avatar I didn't know what it was. After reading your post - found it and enlarged the image and your right Boston Corporate America I am not familiar with that album though.

I also reckon this post will be obsolete as sista Jane tends to change them often.Nothing wrong with that I might add.

Me too. "Don't Look Back," "Used to Bad News," just about everything from their first and second albums. "Peace of Mind" is my all-time favorite song.

I really miss Brad Delp, too. From all accounts, a really sweet guy. From what I can tell, he committed suicide because he was upset at tension in the band; Tom Schulz can be, to put it mildly, a bit of a pill. I doubt I'll ever see Boston in concert again; even if they tour with a replacement for Brad, it'll never be the same.

Don, I assume you've been keeping track at.....

They are one of my all-time favorite groups. Albums 1 and 2 never tire me. I last watched the band play in 2008 with the last new lineup.

I don't think I can bring myself to see them live again without Brad out front, especially given the circumstances. Not even sure if I'll get any more albums from them.. not to assume there'll be another one, since we're not getting any younger!

But what happened later doesn't take away from those first two albums, and they had some hits in their later CDs, too.

I saw Brad and Barry Goudreau play in a bar in Harrisburg when they were touring in RTZ, standing right up front during the entire concert. They didn't play any Boston songs until the encore, but then the reaction from the crowd practically tore the roof off the place. One funny anecdote about that show, it was a rainy night, and wouldn't you know it? As they were playing the RTZ song "Rain Down On Me," the roof sprung a leak and they had to drape plastic wrap over the keyboard! They just took it all in good humor and kept right on playing.

On the other hand, I couldn't help noticing Jane has changed her icon twice since I first posted!
