Topic: R.I.P Andy Rooney

Died last night. Sad to hear this, I always enjoyed him on 60 Minutes.

Re: R.I.P Andy Rooney

This guy is my hero!  He never stopped working and up until his death he was planning on still working at 92!  Most of have hopes to retire but from what I've seen when you lose something to bring focus in your life you lose reason for life.  I'm going to miss Andy and his rants weather I think he was right or wrong.  RIP Andy Rooney.

Re: R.I.P Andy Rooney

Loved his segments. We watched religiously for decades it seems. RIP.

Re: R.I.P Andy Rooney

I gotta hunch that Andy knew something was up with his health and in his curmudgeonly fashion didn't feel it was necessary to share the info with his audience. Still have yet to hear what the surgery was about, but I'm sure Andy had that kept kept under wraps as well. Love him or let him get under your skin he was entertaining. Andy's passing reminded me of the passing of S.F. Chronicle columnist Herb Caen and Warriors, Raiders, & A's play by play announcer Bill King, both one of a kind in their journalistic fields.
