Topic: Wow - I'm a Dad!!!

After many years of trying, with too many failures for anybody, my beautiful wife and I now have a son. He was born on Sunday 2nd October, and we named him Samuel.

I am a very proud Dad and he is a very cute baby.

The reason I am posting here is because Sam has already attended his first concert (albeit he was in the womb at the time, and he was still about 4 months from entering the world). That concert was Joe Bonamassa at The Palais Theatre in Melbourne. I am sure some of those good sounds made their way through and helped him on his journey.

Now I just need to completely re-organise my life! But  it's a job I'm looking forward to.  big_smile

Re: Wow - I'm a Dad!!!

Congratulations to both you and your wife, proud papa.

I wish all the best for your new journey with your beautiful son.  Sounds like you already started with taking him to Joe's concert, lol.  When you start to hear him bang your pots and pans like drums, you will know why wink

Get some sleep when you can, but like you said, it will be a job you are looking forward to.  He will be your Pride and Joy.  So very happy for you both  big_smile

Great news also, congratulations. If you are lucky you will be like me, still attending concerts with my sons  (JB at Blackpool and Sheffield in the next six months ) and out tonight to a local band. Sons now 33 and 26. Both Bonamassa faithful.

Re: Wow - I'm a Dad!!!

Congratulations! smile The wonderment of a son named Samuel is something to behold and enjoy...for now...

And then when he turns 14 and thinks he knows more than you could ever know, you'll still wonder whatever happened to sweet little baby Samuel. smile

My son Benjamin was born in April of 1997. Hmmm...that's 14 years ago... wink

Congratulations Grey! All the best to you, your wife and Samuel.

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

Re: Wow - I'm a Dad!!!

Congrats Dad!!! You're in for a wonderful ride...there will be highs and lows, but I wouldn't have traded it for anything. Mine are 28 and 26 now and are still the lights of my life.
Good luck!

Re: Wow - I'm a Dad!!!

WOW!!! So am I!!! cool cool Congratulations indeed, Grey, much excitement, and as River Cat says, watch those pots & pans & tennis rackets for good omens!  You are now different, like all us other Pops'!!! And, representing all those whose lives were irrevocably redirected via fatherhood, and mindful of it's preceding boring days as being "the good old days" (perhaps, hmm), we just have to ask....why would you EVER consider trying to become a father and "failing" before actually becoming a father to be "too many failures" lol (but it would be frustrating, I know, much gladness for your success smile)?!
