I have been thinking about getting a JB Fuzz Face but I wanted to know from all who use it what exactly they are using it for? Are you using it for blues playing or more rock stuff?
To answer your question, for me it's both blues and rock. Limited time to really get used to it, but early impressions are it's much more versatile than I at first imagined. For example I was playing last night with another guitarist in his studio and he asked me what drive pedal I had been using on a particular number - it was actually the JBFF with the guitar (JB LP studio) volume rolled off to around 4-5 so it cleaned up really nicely.
In short, the more I work with the pedal the more opportunities open up in terms of it's use. I know when I've purchased a great piece of gear when it inspires me to think differently or try new ideas. I don't think you'll be sorry you bought one!
