Sorry mate, I should have warned you - it was the same at Maryport - first two songs all I saw was his back during the solos, but then I took the opportunity to shuffle over to the right so I could actually see that fretboard magic.   hmm is abought right - hope he never plays a blues cruise - there'd be a danger of capsizing  lol .

Nice vid Pete - I get my second dose of Henrik today at the Buxton Festival, and there will be a third at Derby before the month is out.

Well it's still listed! Looks like the website's not been updated for a few days, still advertising shows that have taken place.  neutral

The Ferry has the Henrik promo video on its front page so hopefully that's a good sign.

The Ferry is going ahead, as is Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh, but alas Falkirk has been cancelled. Realistically though it is by far the smaller of the five dates north of the border. I'll have my Cable Car t-shirt on tomorrow. See you there!

Re: Henrik Freischlader UK Tour

Henrik played for a mesmorising 2.5 hours in Glasgow last night (following a support band Lewis Hamilton & The Boogie Brothers). It was a masterclass in guitar! He deserves more people to see him at a show than 44, so make sure you get to see him!

...a Masterclass indeed!... Henrik deserves a packed house where ever he shows up...but trying to grasp a positive from a negative... 44 lucky people with an excellent taste in music ay!  wink

Next time Henrik will play in Glasgow 44 people will bring some others with them. That makes at least 88 or more. Spread the word.
By the way Pete, your vids are on a new level. WOW.

Re: Henrik Freischlader UK Tour

Well I guess on the positive side, Joe's first show at the same venue has slightly less people. One thing I must add it that it did not affect the performance or mood of the band, which was excellent throughout. Henrik has been told to say rather more regular "cheers" rather than "thank you" to the crowd, so after every solo when the crowd showed their appreciation, he said "cheers" with a smile to amusement. Young Lewis who was supporting said that he thinks Henrik is the best living guitarist and who am I to argue? it was a pleasure to see such a talent in an intimate setting and I urge you to see him if you can. I'll see him again on Sunday in Edinburgh (should be a few more at the show too!). smile

Re: Henrik Freischlader UK Tour

Just want to echo what Duncan said about Glasgow last night. A truly mesmerising performance and kudos to his band as well. I loved the organ heavy version of "I would rather go blind" and "The Bridge" was just sensational.

Cheers!!
