Topic: Monte's Mirror

Sometimes I find myself caught in a rut searching for new music and forgeting to savor the stuff I already have.  This afternoon I was finishing a disc I was making for an English friend that was basically acoustic blues and wanted to include one by Monte Montgomery.  The problem I ran into though is Monte's not done many blues songs.  I have alot of his music and I'm always slack jawed listening to his virtuosity playing on his amped up beaten Ibanez.  Of all his albums it seems I always reach for Mirror first.  The cool thing about this album is every song's different.  On top of being a world class guitarist, Montgomery's a damn fine songwriter and on this one all the stars lined up.  Vocally you could compare him to equal parts early Billy Joel, Jackson Browne and Mark Knopfler.
I'll include a couple vids from the album for those interested.  This would be a great album to play on a long drive and a desert island must.
