What a massive rock show Rival Sons put on last night. It was a privilege to see such a good band in a small venue like Scala in London. I don't imagine there will be many more chances once they take off into the big time.

Here's a vid I shot of a new number, Open My Eyes,  off the latest album Great Western Valkyrie. The vid has more crowd shots than I hoped, but it does give you a feel for the live show.

Thanks for the video David. Edinburgh on Monday is gonna be hot n sweaty too so bring it on. I have heard they will be back later in the year in bigger venues.

New album gets a 10/10 from me. Its a stunning piece of work and the last track "Destination On Course" reminds me so much of Pink Floyd's "Echoes".

Jay did say last night that there will be an announcement over the next few days about dates in Autumn/early Winter.

- New album is brilliant, - and it was noticeable that the crowd took to the new songs immediately, as if they were old classics - not sure about you guys but I have been to few gigs where the new songs get people heading off to the bar! http://youtu.be/buEoYXKI4BE

I agree...there is that jam outro on Destination On Course...more than a homage to Echoes...even with the slide/echo bits - still fantastic album...
A band that really does move forward and progress...better and better.

Manchester was simply stunning last night...very powerful energy from the crowd and the band really ran off it. Haven't been to a gig like that in a while...

The new album is amazing. At the moment I'm thinking it's the best thing I've heard in quite a few years.

Have to make sure I catch them at the end of the year, it's been a few years since I last saw them.

Classic Rock magazine cover and article, - they are the real deal. Best band (actual band that don’t just reform for the money making tour and play old hits) around at the moment.

My thoughts exactly after their gig on Monday, the best rock n roll band on the go at the moment. Give it a year or two and I fully expect them to be playing arena size gigs.

I'm a big fan of these guys. Just got the new album and WOW they just keep hitting it out of the park. I'm really impressed...it seems every album is better than the last. Would love to see them live.

I agree I think they are the best rock band right now.
