What a bunch...some of you remind me of sibling warfare universal. Toe to toe shouting one another down one moment, but let something bad happen...one for all & all for one.

and yeah it was booze. He was just 54... Now I gotta call my baby sis, who knows but is in a quandary about what do to with the body. She is the only one I won't bark at about this kind of devil in the details. So morbid. *sigh*

Yes brothers & sisters, y'all sure are nice to an old curmudgeon, a fallen angel, a warrior poet, and a bluesman from the bottoms. I am thankful that I didn't snort when Carmine told me I really should join this forum. I heard from him (and the rest of the gang) yesterday. They are in the studio again. My Lil Bit texted him.

So Mike was 1 week short of his 55th birthday when he expired for real. What a waste. My other brother told me his wife was having a fit that I was not going to do some mockery of a service. I very politely replied that I don't really give a good damn what she thinks.

So she researched funeral and cremation options and costs "on behalf of Mike." Mike's dead you S@$%*d F&^@! g busybody... I withdrew completely from the planning. It's on you now. You needs to be leashed & muzzled. When I checked my blood pressure it was insanely high.

The man disappeared for 3 years and drank himself to death. Somebody found me after he was in a coma on life support. I will not complicate this deal intentionally. He wouldn't want that anyway. Even after I said I would handle this stuff for everybody, I changed my mind, My health is more important.

Thank you ALL. Jane Dear LOL I talked to my brother about it and he begged forgiveness on her behalf; said when he saw her email he almost died himself. and wouldn't you know it...turned out to be good information. Delivery could've been better ...oh well. It's all straight now.

And they were glad to relieve me. They even agreed that I was wise to consider my own health first.

We cremate him next week. We let the river rats drink it up at the local bucket o' blood on their own and next month on his birthday we hold a small private memorial/celebration of life.

Big Jeff, my heart goes out to you and your family in this time. I had an uncle that also went the way of the bottle, he could not find a way out. My hope in this and surely you have thought about it, is that someone he knew that was aware of his addiction will seek help if they need it before it's too late. Something good can come out of this if the Great Spirit is willing.
What they told me, and you know it's true, that working with others and giving up self is the way out of a depressing situation. Hope it gets better for you in the near future.
