A fan gave Joe the Team Canada jersey.. (actually the fan had 2.. one for Joe to wear and one for Joe to sign)...

Great night.

That was a great day all around Doug!. Got my Goldtop LP signed by Joe at the meet and greet (pics to follow), saw the man and his band play to 2200 loyal appreciative fans and got to meet everyone after the show. Thanks Carmine for signing Lucie's bass strap!

Glad I brought my Desert Burst.

Yes I thought the sound guy should have had more of Joe's guitar and volcals above the mix..
but I've stage managed live shows before and a "one night" show is always hard to get right.

(If only I had 1% of Joe's guitar talent)

I was at Massey Hall Apr 2 and finally saw Joe play.  I have never seen such a dynamic display of guitar skills and a tight tight band backing him up.  Truly an amazing,  amazing night for me and three of my friends - we are still talking about it a day and half later-it ranks in my top ten concerts of all time(I am 62 and have seen stones,  hendrix,  janis etc.)
Its too bad that this concert was not captured on HD and put out as DVD.
As the Aussie rock band

You can check out Joe live at the Royal Albert hall on dvd or blue ray. I have the blue ray and it's the next best thing to seeing him live.

Truth. Stevie Nicks & Rod Stewart were playing the Air Canada Centre same night.

Great show all around. The man really lives up to expectations and hype. Had a chance to chat with him earlier in the day, he was every bit as nice and gracious as advertised.

Pun intended? Ironic isn't it that the opening riff in Joes encore from "Ain't superstitious" was sung by Rod Stewart on The Jeff Beck Group "Truth" album?  I seriously doubt though that  the current version of Rod Stewart or Stevie Nicks share many fans with Joe Bonamassa.

I, for one, love going to a Rod Stewart show.  Greaqt music and entertainment.  After a Joe show,  Joe himself was wearing an All Access Pass to Rod Stewart, I even got to wear it for a little while, so I know it to be true.  I think Joe admires Rod Stewart and has always spoke favorably of his voice.     plj

Probably has something to do with how both Tal and Carmine used to play with Rod Stewart. Nice to have those connections ;)

Check out my buddy Tony's shots from the show:

Those are some great shots. I'm kicking myself for not bringing my camera to the show.

Those are some of the best shots I've ever seen of Joe. The one with the Gigliotti is great! Your buddy is a pro.

Steve's Guitar shop provided me with the whole package, cardboard box and all so needless to say, the case went in the box, bubble wrapped and duct taped to death. It flew with the baby strollers in the light cargo hold and when we got home to Alberta, I cracked open the case and there it was, Joe's art work (signature) on gold. Lucie and I had a great time in TO. With the meet and greet, the concert, the band afterwards, this will always be a memory to never forget.

Regarding the concert, we both felt that Tal's kick drum was a little over powering. We couldn't hear Rick's keyboards most of the night and since Massey was built with acoustic venues in mind (no amps in those days) all in all we heard what we came to hear. An amazing guitar player and band that will climb the charts faster than ever. Saw your burst there and the pic's on the forum. That's one nice guitar!

Glad to hear your guitar made it home safely. I think we met you and your lady right after we got our picture taken with Joe in the afternoon. I was with my buddy and my son,we talked on the corner. Feel bad that I didn't introduce myself,I was pretty jacked from getting our picture taken with Joe. All the best and may we meet again somewhere down the road.

Re: Toronto...and the tour is done!

NICE photos.  Joe carries off the sneaker/suit thing well, the 1st person I ever saw do that was Paul McCartney with a tuxedo, I've loved Paul forever tongue ...anyway Sir Paul & Joe are 2 of my favorite musicians!!

For what its worth, I read a while back about Joe's recognition of the album TRUTH (early 2000) as being very highly regarded and one of the most influential in his musical career.  Joe's respect for Rod Stewart goes way back, before Carmine and Tal, and Joe even posted somewhere on the forum about his favorite voices, Rod was one of them along with Paul Rodgers.

Welcome aboard our Canadian neighbors to the north, glad you enjoyed your Joe show.  smile
