Jays? My Padres will be trying not to lose 100.
Rick
I finally got around to changing the year to 2017......baseball is the greatest game I ever played or watched!
Despite the Padres having an awful season, a glance at the standings shows the Giants are worse!
Still in the 'don't lose 100' mode, but misery loves company.
You had to bring it up didn't you....I can barely get through 2 or 3 innings watching the G's before I have to turn the channel....they flat out suck!!!!!

Welcome to the club. At least we had no expectations going in.

Rick, and Pat, my old man is an hardcore diehard Padres fan. He watches any freely televised game all through and cannot even switch away from a bad beating or slaughter...reviews stats almost daily...hope they can win 1 before his time. If they ever do, I don't know what he'd do.

I went to my first game as a kid with my dad at Lane Field when they were PCL. I live in hope too, but not this year.
Yeah Rick...my first game was with my mom at Seal Stadium in 1958...G's vs Dodgers, Willie Mays vs Duke Snider...next game was vs Cubs same year and Ernie Banks was playing shortstop then...sat in the bleachers in left center for both games but what a thrill for a little kid seeing his heroes play a kids game....
I remember the boom, boom, boom of foul balls landing on the tin roof over the stands on the 1st base line. Early 50's. Rode the street car to get there. A big adventure. I took the wife and small kids to see Randy Jones pitch in his dominating years. Just about a sure win and a short game so the kids didn't get antsy. We've had our moments and great players, but never quite got there.

I cant believe how far the baseball is traveling, anyone can go yard!

That's a fact. New undetectable roids or juiced balls?
Even popgun batters are hitting them out.

I think there has been a secret design incorporating golf ball technology for the cultural enjoyment of today's attention challenged kids to have greater odds of seeing (and possibly catching/retrieving if in the cheap seats) an exciting, often the most exciting (i.e., off setting great boredom at nothing happening) moment in baseball. It makes for boring sportscasts to me, however.

The ball has got some extra ingredients in it, unless your Aaron Judge, then you don't much help!

Either opposing pitching coaches have Judge figured out or he's just plain slumping on his own. His team mates need to take him out and get him a "slump buster". Don't ask me to explain that, it would get me banned!
Go Tribe!
