Well with my Yankees out of the running, I am going for the Cubs.   The Cubs and St. Louis both are closer to me than most other teams so when we go to a game it is one or the other.  But have a sweet spot for Chi-town boys.

As a Cubs fan, I hate to say it, but the Cards have been the gold standard in baseball for some time now.
But the Cubs have a little extra spring in their step today, after beating the Cardinals and taking the series.

Cubs are on a major roll! Mets or Dodgers next.

Darn I wanted the Jay's to get home field advantage over Astro's not loose home field advantage over KC. sad

I was in the "Bird's Nest" at our city hall (couldn't afford game tickets at the ball park) since I was on call and couldn't leave the city anyways
It was wild being among 5,000+ people like a 'mosh pit'

the 'birds' will keep pecking at the crown of the Royal's

A rematch of that legendary 1985 ALCS! Good to see the two teams with the best records matched up in the ALCS. Congrats and good luck, Blue Jays (but not TOO much luck!)...  big_smile

I too was very happy to see the Cards crash and burn. I have a feeling that Mets vs Cubs is going to be a great series....really good pitching going against the monster bats. They say that good pitching beats good hitting, I'm not so sure that it pans out like that this time. It's really good to be able to sit back and watch it unfold, don't have to root for either one.
Though in heart I hope that the Cubbies rock it on to the WS. Yeah, very well remember that the Mets fans threw batteries at my Braves.

Although I had no preference between the Dodgers and Mets, drawing the Mets somehow seems appropriate. Perhaps the Cubs and longtime Cub fans can exorcise the demons of 1969.

I see that the Jay's are flying up and down due to the drafts of wind in the ball parks.. they started to loose their feathers in game 3 but managed to fly home to take game 3.. lets hope for good results in game 4 today.

I see the Cubs have "Mets" their match so far be interesting if they can find they're way back to the den

I hate it, it's over. I thought sure that this was their year, just wasn't meant to be......sure, Cubs fans everywhere are disappointed, but still gives them something to build on. Now they can go spend some serious monies on pitching. Just wait 'til next year !!!

Too much Murphy. A dinger a game is unreal. looking like the goat still lives, I saw a Met fan in the stands with a picture of the goat with Murphy's face in it. Cubs were never in it. No timely hitting and their pitching just didn't go. It isn't over at the moment but that fat lady is warming up. 8th inning and praying for a miracle.
