off the rumor mill and it's been well covered in the news, Braves are looking at a possible trade for 2B Brandon Phillips of the Reds. The Reds would have to take Dan Uggla's contract and would probably get a couple of other minor players thrown in. Brandon has 4 years with 52 million left, Danny has 2 years with around 26 million. Even at age 32 Brandon is still producing some good numbers, although production is down. Apparently as I was fearful, Danny's eyes are not the problem. This is 2 straight years with slumping numbers and the glove is nothing to write home about any more.

I never go against the American League, but I support Cardinals this time around.  The ratty beards and greasy hair looks are a disgrace to the uniform.

Good grief Rocket. I'm halfway to nowhere and want the series to go long so I am back in time to see at least a couple of games. Redbirds in 7!

Game one was tough to watch.  I've felt Kozma cost us being (and maybe winning) in the Series last year.  His poor defensive play fueled the Giants comeback and his errors wednesday had the whole team in a funk.  I was very relieved Wacha evened things last night.  A big win for sure.

This Beard Came Here To Party....a little rock n' roll to go with the beards and Billy Gibbons. dknight-Boston could be making an anti-Yankee statement with all the hair!

Gotta' give a thumbs up to my ex-Phillie Shane Victorino for his grand slam that got Boston to the World Series. I love it when someone steps up big after being in a lull. I knew it was going to be a Cardinal vs. Red Sox match-up.

The winner is the team that makes less mistakes, it could go either way...the Cardinals may need their squirrel to make an appearance.

Any predictions? Will it go to game#7?

6 and DONE!!! End of the Giants reign. Quite a turnaround for the BoSawks, outhouse to the penthouse in one season. Back to football and can't wait for Training Camp to convene, where hope springs eternal!!!
