Spider,
I bought one at the Reading, PA show Wednesday night. It was the only one they had for sale at the show and it was signed by Joe which of course cost a couple of extra bucks. The case candy includes four items: brochure for Dunlop strings, brochure for Dunlop DC-Brick, warranty card that includes the serial number and a Dunlop Joe Bonamassa Fuzz Face Brochure where on page 3 states that the Fuzz Face is "No. 0026 of 1000." There is no serial number anywhere on the outside of the Fuzz Face.
Joe signed the Fuzz Face under the volume knob.
Oh my goodness, this effect kicks arse! The sweet spot for this effect is max for volume and 3/4 ( 1 or 2 o'clock) max for fuzz. I played through a Fender 59 Bassman Reissue and it sounds really awesome. The sound is much smoother than other Fuzz Faces that I have played and the compression really punches the sound.
Now I have to figure out whether to seal this up and hold it as a collectable and just buy another one. My concern is that once it starts to get darker will the autograph be difficult to see or recognize. Any recommendations?
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
