Topic: Meet and Greets?

Hi all.  New member here.  Been a JB fan for only about one year now, but I'm pretty much obssessed like many others on the forum.

My wife and I are seeing Joe this Friday March 25 in Westbury.  This will be my first live JB experience and I'm already geeking out!

I've read other posts about people attending meet and greets and I have no idea how they work.  Help?

Re: Meet and Greets?

Welcome to the forum!

I'm new to this too, going to my first M&G - and first Joe concert! - in a couple of days. As I understand it, Joe typically spends a half-hour or so talking to fans at or near the concert venue, a few hours before the show. But you've got to have a pass to get in, it's not a public event, and numbers are limited. To request admittance to a M&G, contact Alexis@jr-adventures.com. Sometimes local PBS or other organizations will offer a package deal with tickets and M&G and some merch or something.

Supposedly it's also sometimes possible to catch him briefly near the tour bus after the show...

Very helpful.  I just emailed Alexis.  Thanks!

Re: Meet and Greets?

Being active on the forum or a member of the Street Team and actively promoting the local show also helps. But the ultimate is owning one of the JB Les Paul Custom shop guitars. That will get you in for sure. smile

Seeing him on Friday for the first time.  If he plays better than Live from RAH my head might explode.

If you look up to the heavens just before the start of every Joe Bonamasaa concert you can see Stevie, Jimi, Muddy, Gary and others leaning over God’s railing jockeying for the best view.
And if you listen, you can hear Stevie say  “ SHHhhhh,  The kids about to start playing.”

Re: Meet and Greets?

Well, the Westbuy show was just amazing.  My first time seeing Joe and my wife was pretty amazed as well.  He is such an extraordinary talent and he seems like such a genuinely good guy, which only adds to my amazement.  In a world of shallow celebrities, Joe's a true talent with grace and good humor.  What a pleasure.
