No one else remembered hearing the song and he didn't play it in Dallas either. But the show was/is fantastic. I'd love to have a recorded version of "Young Man's Blues". The energy between Tal and Joe on this song was incredible....
...if you want to speculate, longer set length trial results in four tired fellows...or they all agreed it weren't so great and we're not so tight on it....etc...if you want to speculate?!
But it was definitely played at Anaheim and no where else so far. As to why Joe doesn't particularly like it, if he doesn't, ( hey the T shirt is cool too Joe ) well-l-l-l-l,......as far as I'm concerned, he is a very particular person to me, and quite particular about everything he does. The particular reason he doesn't like a song (reputedly he does not care for this one nor Dirt In My Pocket, from Sloe Gin, one of my favorite songs on one of my favorite albums of Joe's) or an entire album or performance is.....all up to him in my opinion. He's The Boss to me. He decides, I accept! Readily.
