Topic: EC is there..........with Chas 'n Dave!

How to get to this on a Tuesday morning.............long story short, I was trying to explain to my German girlfriend how the word 'bunny' is also London slang for talking......or constant talking in fact.

Best way was obviously to find a link on You Tube to Chas 'n Dave (THE ultimate London Pub Band) performing the song. Did that, but then scrolled down and found this.

It looks like it was an ITV studio Xmas Party with numerous 'faces' in the audience. That doesn't matter 'cos here we have Eric Clapton with Albert Lee on rhythm guitar, no less, performing with Chas 'n Dave!  A gorgeous slice of pseudo London Pub Rock.

Nothing like a couple of legends dropping by to jam in with your local pub band. Not quite I suppose but the feeling is there.

Nice intro too - "Here's a friend of ours gonna sing and play a bit of guitar...."

Lovely quote to on the YouTube comments:

"Imagine having Albert Lee as your RHYTHM guitarist!! Scary--like having Beethoven to play the kazoo for you..."

Couldn't agree more.....enjoy

gertcha! As my Grandfather (born in Upton Park) would say to the dog! - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOiuDAPHxCE

And they are Spurs supporters, - COYS!!!!!

Was at the London International Music Show a couple of years ago and Albert Lee was on stage, - a great set. He came off and I managed to get a picture of my son with him, - and on the other side of my son was Chas, - Albert and he looked to be great friends!

...and another Chas n Dave story, - I saw them live many years ago, - at a football stadium gig, - that also included Phil Lynott, Steve Van Zant and his Disciples of Soul (they got boo'ed off) and Status Quo topping the bill. Chas n Dave are the perfect warm up act for anybody, - they just got the crowd going and everybody had a good time!
