I know he didn't make it, but I just love everything James Durbin did with this song. I agree with Randy's comments and hope James incorporates music like this with his heavy metal. From the beginning with the drum corp. marching in to the very last note, he just took control of this song. His vocals were off the charts on this song. 10+!
This is one of my favorite Muse songs and I love having James sing this.

It would be interesting to see what Randy has in his collection, lol. Although he has produced a varied number of artists. They have a country singer on the show named Scotty who probably will win it tomorrow night. I put a clip on here for you in case you haven't heard him. He was born with a Country voice. He can easily step into being a successful country artist just with that voice alone. He was born with it and he is only 16 yrs old.

But I am going to watch James Durbin and see what kind of album he puts out. I thought he did Muse really well and hope he can write some songs and get with a great producer and vocal coach that can help him master his vocals for each particular song. He has such a dynamic and powerful range but his lower register is just as great as proved on the Muse song. He can do things that other singers can't do and I hope he gets a record deal with the right person. He seems like a nice guy and I wish him the best. He knows who Paul Rodgers is, right on Rocker Dude .
Here also is a clip of Randy Jackson when he was playing bass in Journey. Love me some Journey. I didn't first recognize him when he was first on Idol. I had to see if it was the same one. How awesome would it be for the contestants to get vocal advice from Steve Perry.
