This is seriously Walters finest album in years, probably EVER.
Alongside the uptempo rockers, we have serious slow blues, plenty of acoustic playing and typical Walter humour with one of the greatest lines I have ever head during the song 'Turn Off Your TV'

Go get it Cathy!(and everyone else!) I've had it about a week now and probably play it 2 or 3 times a day! There's not a mediocre song in the bunch!
Well, I finally got a chance to listen and I agree with all the praise!! Best in years!!! You always get your money's worth with Walter, but this CD is loaded with gems. Soothes a sad heart

I was given "Blue's for the modern daze" by a neighbour this week, - really good, although don't entirely agree with some of his more luddite lyrics, but he does however sing them superbly!! I have tonight just lent my neighbour in return a load of Govt Mule CD's as he had never heard of them!
A huge thumbs up for Walter's new album. Ok - "Blue's For The Modern daze" is a bit of an iffy title - but its a cracking release. Walter's studio stuff never really cut it for me, always preferred him live - but have to say that this has to be his best studio output yet. The guitar is just superb. A great companion on my early morning run this morning. Get it - you wont be disappointed.

Thanks for the link Lee!! This new CD is really knockin my socks off!! I gave my Dentist a copy today and got a nice discount It's the perfect companion to DTTD. No lack of guitar riffs on this one Cathy
