Good Day,

Woke up Dreaming...Looked like an Alvarez Yari, Nylon String....and it CRANKED!

Show Comments...Met some great people there..

Front row Fred, ForeverYoung, Lindy (?) John S. and

got to see Joe on the M&G and get my Epi LP signed....truly exceptional..THANKS JOE!

Joe was, as usual..his low key..humorous self..very cordial..seemed to be very relaxed

and ready to get out there and SIZZLE...and that's just what he did. GREAT SHOW

LOVED Tal his new DRUMMER...what a powerful player...Missed Bogie BUT Tal...Cranked.

Cheers Mates

Alvarez yes. Nylon strings I don't think so. Hard to tell from Rockfarmer's pics but it would be highly unusual for Joe to play on nylon strings. He palm mutes a lot and it may of sounded like nylon.

Re: Anaheim

Well I’m writing up a detailed review of my two nights with Joe, when it’s done I’ll post it here.

Now however, I’d like to give a huge shout out to our very own Rocket!  If it were not for his generosity I would not have been able to go to the San Diego show.

I have a bit of a tight entertainment budget this year (A cruise to Alaska in June will do that to you!) so I failed to buy a ticket to San Diego, but after seeing Joe’s show on Thursday, I had to go again.

Well I got home Thursday night and here on the board Rocket posted  that his guest could not make the show so he had an extra ticket and he was offering it for free! Since free fit into my budget, (and free was the only way my wife would let me go!) I requested Rocket’s ticket.

So to Rocket A BIG HUGE THANK YOU! It was great meeting you and I had a wonderful time sitting with you at the show.

I’ll post the review later.

Thanks again Rocket!

Re: Anaheim

Cradle Rock (Bonaburst)
So Many Roads
When The Fire Hits The Sea
So It's like That (Signatute JB Goldtop)
If Heartaches were Nickels (man oh man, what an unbelievabley soulful rendition)
Sloe Train (new guitar, can't remember the name.  les paul body, single pickup, firebird headstock...pretty cool looking actually)
Dustbowl (gibson les paul with bigsby tailpiece...you know the one, it's pictured on his equipment truck).  And Oh...if you think the studio vesion of this song is hot, you ain't heard nothing yet.  Holy crap, Joe & the boys kill it on that one.
You Better Watch Yourself
Steel Your Heart Away
Sloe Gin
John Henry (candy apple blue signature JB LP) New arrangement.  i like this one a whole lot better than the original.  I know I'm in the minority, but I love this version
Lonesome Road Blues (Red Gibson 355.  possibly the coolest guitar ever built, IMHO)
Happier Times
Blue & Evil (gibson firebird)
Great Flood (JB LP goldtop)
Young Mans Blues (White SG double neck.  first time I've seen this one)
Woke Up Dreaming
Django/Mountain Time (Music Man)
Encore:
Bird on a Wire (Giglioti)
Just Got Paid (Flying V...obviousely)

Possibly the most PERFECT set list he could've thought of...everything I wanted to be there is there in particular:

Lonesome Road Blues
Happier Times
Blue and evil
Woke up dreaming
Just got paid

Thank you so much Joe for helping me through difficult times:)
