Bogie, I first saw you with KWS just another drummer playing shuffles. When I heard you were joining Joe I wondered if Joe was making the right decision. Over the years you proved that not only did he make the right decision it was one of the best decisions he has made. I can only hope that this decision on your part will prove to be the right decision for you and know that your shoes will be tough to fill.

Bogie -
You were the heartbeat of Joe's band for so many years.  We will miss you immensely!  Life is everchanging but I'm hoping your decision leads you where you really want to be.  Wishing you nothing but peace and happiness in your future endeavors.... just pop back into the forum every now and then and let all of us know how your doing, OK?

Re: Thank You All

Well Bogie....I'm sure you're feeling the love we all have for you. I cannot add anything to what's been said already so I'll just say thanks for your huge contribution over the last five years. You will be greatly missed.

Good luck with your future ventures....keep smiling smile

Here's wishing you the best of luck, happiness and success in your future Bogie!  Thank you for years of great music - We've enjoyed it so much!  You're the best smiling drummer ever.

Re: Thank You All

Kinda odd that my 1st post is to say goodbye but just had to add to all of the good wishes towards Bogie.  We (wife & me) have never met the guys but were going wait behind after our next JB gig and were probably looking forward to meeting Bogie as much as Joe (never waited behind before after 40 + years of gigs but these guys are special !!).  You really brought so much more to the shows than just talent - a real enthusiasm and energy - you really will be sorely missed.  All the best with future projects - maybe we'll catch you on a 'reunion' tour sometime in the future !!

Re: Thank You All

Man, I don't check in for a day or two and find this news. I enjoyed your style from the first show I caught in Lake Tahoe after you joined the band with Mark. Remember snow on Memorial Day weekend? Enjoyed our chats along the way and remember how you lit up when I mentioned Lynyrd Skynyrd in SF one night, a true Southern Man. Best of luck on your future endeavors and hope we cross paths again "One Of These Days.....Boy!"

                                                                                       Cheers Bogie!!!

Re: Thank You All

Well I broke the  news to my Mom (81 years young) and she said to tell you that she would miss seeing you the next time she saw a Joe show.  And then she said,  " I guess I won't be making Snickerdoodle cookies for him then   sad   but I guess if he ever wanted a batch he could let you know and we could mail them out   smile  "  So Bogie, if you ever get the hankerin' for some Snickerdoodles again, let me know, and Mom will get the oven warmed up......   wink

Well, Pete the Cabby just ran up a tribute video on yt. Knowing what a modest guy he is, I'll post the link. Bogie at his best on one of Joe's best. You are a star Pete. How did you know to feature Bogie during this song, so close to his departure?

Bogie,

So sad to see you leave but wish you every joy and success in life.

I cherish my very first JB show in Columbus, GA last month even more now. That fearless four-man lineup will forevor = JB for me.

I count you among my favorite drummers in the world (Neil Peart and Gavin Harrison are the others).

Farewell and looking forward to hearing you in other places!  All the best...

Bogie:

From the first time I saw you with Joe at the Scullers Jazz Club in Boston (when you still had the long locks) through the 7 times I have seen you since, you have been the consumate performer. You exhibit extraordinary skill and have always been a great addition to the legacy that has become Joe Bonamassa. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors and will be keeping my eyes and ears open for your next step in your journey.

Who knew when my son and son-in-law got your autograph on the set list last month at Hampton Beach that it would a collector's item. Best of luck!
