Damn Bot!
Still gassing though...
Good for you Joe, a great cause and a great price.
Rick tries again
WOW!! That's a lot of money, but, if I had it I'd have bought it. Better investment than real estate at this time. Historic guitar and my first with Joe. Live long Goldie! Cathy
It went beyond my ability very quickly. I had good intentions but it wasn't to be...

I told my significant other about the auction today and how much Goldie sold for when I notices Joe on the forum. She said make sure Joe send it to the right address. Don’t I wish…
Final auction results ... congrats, Wooders!
Well sorry xcorporate but thanks for trying anyway and same goes to everyone else who bid.
I just checked the list PathMan posted and it says that the actual hammer price was $30K. That makes Patty a winner also. Since she has had her dreams come true this week already she will get the runner up prize of yet to be decided.....
Pretty exctiting all around and I hope we might find out where Goldie went. and the amp Joe mentioned in his FB post.
Hi Jane,
I happily forward on ANY prize to the next guess or guesses. You are so correct, I couldn't want for anything right now. Share the Joe-fun ♥ & ENJOY

Joe's twitter post this morning.
"Goodbye my old friend.. Thank you for all the shows and inspiration.. I am happy it brought so much money at the Crossroads auction..."
Indeed.
Stay Safe out there

....damn I hate having posts cut off!
I confess I had inside info. When I went to see Goldie and took those photos she whispered to me “$36,000 (including buyer’s premium)” and you know you can’t ignore a lady.
I’ve had a bit of a moral dilemma and not posted since I saw the figure of $36,600 as it made me wonder if we’d all factored in the buyer’s premium when placing our estimates. I’m not sure, however, Patty’s very kind gesture that the prize should go to the next closest guess to hers would mean it goes to Lyn, who “bid” $28,500. Luckily Lyn doesn’t have a guitar and is happy for me to accept the sparkly red strap for my new JB Epiphone Gold Top. Thanks Lyn.
Thanks again to Jane for organising this little competition and providing the prize. It was fun speculating.
As Joe's fame spreads far and wide I really think $30k (plus fees) will prove to be a snip for such a historic guitar. Sadly, it wasn't me who bought her.
So, all’s well that ends well.

The body went out for paint today....sent the decal you sent me as well....so that will be applied and then cleared over...so the decal will last a long time.
Got the warmoth neck in......rosewood board, birdseye maple neck, wolfgang neck profile, vintage tint, satin finish, graphite nut, stainless frets.....beautiful neck....much nicer then the fender custom ship neck I was planning to use.
Hoping to meet up with Joe at one of the gigs to have him sign the headstock......making a Bonacaster!!!!!

Sounds nice Jay! Looking forward to seeing some pictures of it when it's completed!! Best of luck!!!
I thought this was SO COOL, our Joe being the highlight of the Crossroads sale!!!!
"From the group of guitars donated by his musician friends to support the Crossroads Centre, Joe Bonamassa's Fender Stratocaster with gold sparkle finish was the highlight, selling for $30,000."

Can someone enlighten me here with the facts?
-Did Joe's guitar go for $36,600?
-Did Wooders purchase Goldie? Or did Wooders win the contest here on the forum?
Congratulations Joe, this must feel SO REWARDING!!! And what a great thing Eric Clapton has done with Crossroads: as a survivor, he turned his life around to give back. I just admire and love Clapton & Bonamassa and it makes me happy to be their fan!!
Angela, Goldie went for 30K, plus 6.6K buyers premium. Wooders won the pool for guessing the closest amount. The buyer remains unknown to date, at least to me.
Rick
Thanks Rick, I'm glad I asked before I fired off a correction to Clapton's team. I'm not sure I understand the buyers premium? A man of wisdom in many areas. And yeah, Grace Potter is an awesome entertainer.

Buyers Premium is fees and commissions.
