Is Fredette supposed to be the west coast Larry Bird?  Not since Danny Ainge has BYU been a national power.  I'll definitely have the game on wednesday.

RickB, is CBS picking this up for sure tonight, or ESPN late game? I think it's at BYU, so would that be a 7:00 start on mountain time? I really hope we get this here, even if I have to stay up for a 9:00 start.

Yes, CBSCS on cable if you get it. Time as Rocket said. Biggest game in history for SDSU. They have never fared well in Provo. We'll see just how good they are. This game is for bracket seeding since both teams are pretty much shoe-ins for March. Two very good teams with great players.
Too much Fredette and too little air and out of gas for the Aztecs. All credit to BYU.

well, we did not get the game here but I saw where K Leonard had some really good stats despite being a little under the weather. Who was in charge of guarding Jimmer?  It didn't seem to matter, he wasn't missing much. I like to call it unconscious shooting, built-in bucket radar. the good news is SDSU won't fall too far in the polls. if a conference game, don't they get a rematch at home later in the year or is this one and done?

My daughter and I were texting each other, was that the same team she saw in Syracuse????    There were no Jimmer moments on 'Nova's part, that's for sure!!  Providence has had 2 upsets now beating Louisville before 'Nova, and had lost 6 straight games before the 2 wins... Big East turmoil.  'Nova plays at 2 arenas, when we play at the big arena in Philly and not on campus, we lose a little of that home court advantage.  This Saturday we play Georgetown in Philly and when we play Syracuse the arena is full of the locals who went to these schools. 

The BYU wasn't covered here, Jimmer is AMAZING to watch. The Sports Illustrated that came yesterday had an excellent write-up on Jimmer.  His older brother knew he was a star when he was 4 years old draining 3 point shots back then!

Last year Coach Fisher walked around the campus with pockets full of tickets giving them away, trying to fill the arena. Today, tickets for the BYU rematch are on Ebay for $300!

The local sport talk radio show on the commuter drive home had an interview with Coach Fisher. He was asked if Jimmer Fredette would rate as national player of the year after the Coach had seen him play. Answer: "No brainer, one of the best I've ever seen!"

The problem with conceding to him is he would put in 60 Curby. He is extremely athletic and almost impossible to defense. The tiniest gap and he shoots it in from anywhere.  Coach Fisher also commented that Jimmer made the rest of his teammates better when he was on the floor. The rest of that team is good too. Kawhi's effort was amazing. Coach said he became very sick at morning practice and they had the BYU team doctor attend him. He received 2 pints of IV fluids, one right before the game. It looked like the altitude got to them in the last 5 minutes. Fisher stated that in retrospect, he should have played more from his bench and rested his starters.
