Re: NCAA Basketball

That's quite a story Curby. IU making it this far is near miraculous considering the depths of the start.  I sent a pm to Liz hoping for some input. If she replys I'll relay.

Re: NCAA Basketball

I got 9 teams still in the sweet 16 on my bracket.  The best I could do is 7 of 8 for the next round as I had Duke making the Elite 8.

Smoking my paltry efforts. Liz said she'd be on here Friday and she liked Curby's post with the article.

Re: NCAA Basketball

Buckeyes to the Final Four! I predicted they'd be the last Ohio team standing, but beating Syracuse was HUGE! Won't play Louisville next, but it doesn't matter much now since they advanced further than I thought. These guys seem to rev it up when they need to, hope it continues.

Really exciting games so far. O state hung in when they needed too. Kentucky looks a step ahead of the rest.

Re: NCAA Basketball

Glad to see you back Liz.  I heard one fan on talk radio this week say that Lousiville will be satisfied beating Kentucky, but Kentucky won't be satisfied unless they win it all.  Wise individual.  Cats are the only team from my bracket that made it to N.O.  Best of luck today against Petino et el.  GEAUX Wildcats!

Good to see you back Liz. Welcome to the forum. lol
I still have Kentucky and Kansas alive. I'm hoping to see them in the last game. Good luck in the "civil war".

Re: NCAA Basketball

Dawgawnit, had the lead for 38+ minutes. Oh well, Kansas goes to the sacrificial altar to be offered up to Kentucky. There's NBA teams that would probably have a hard time with UK. Nice run by the Buckeyes, now will Sullinger jump to the NBA or try again?

Re: NCAA Basketball

CBS did an incredible job of botching the end of the game for all who watched it. They were also adept at squeezing a Final Four basketball game around their endless commercial breaks. Not quite as botched as NBC's "Heidi Game", if you're old enough to remember that one.

Re: NCAA Basketball

Had to miss it JDawg. Family first. Sorry to see your team go down. I saw the replays and that second half cold streak let them in. I saw the first game and Kentucky looks unbeatable.

Yep, the past 3 games they stalled a bit in the second half, but kicked it in a higher gear to finish, but not last night. The 3 pointers wouldn't fall in the second half like they did in the first.

Re: NCAA Basketball

Well I know Bill S. cant stand Self ( not himself lol), so I got to go with Calipari, besides he has that charisma.....I think this game is going down in the record books as an alltimer to see....going to miss the first half sad ....

Kentucky 72
Kansas 71 .....in overtime!!

Re: NCAA Basketball

Anyone catch the interview with Austin Rivers, he was at his dads game against the Heat.....the kid is so well spoken, hard to believe he's 19....I loved seeing The Celtics knocking the snot out of the Miami Heat

Shred, I'm so touched that you remembered! LOL
Yeah, he recruited kids to Illinois and then abandoned them when something "better" came along.

Shred and Bill,

Guess you guys don't follow Calipari.  Not only did he leave Memphis in the middle of the night, but he took his top three recruits with him to UK.  Our cheating Kelvin Sampson had a top 5 class at Oklahoma and didn't touch 'em.  Self isnowhere in the same orbit as Coach Cal.

Re: NCAA Basketball

Congrats #1. Liz is jumping up and down right now. Kansas had no chance in the game.

It was so anti-climatic I flipped over to Showtimes House of Lies and Californication since I missed them last night.
