Re: bloomington show report
i totally agree with you. I showed him to everyone I could in the short time leading up to the show but the only people I could get to go with me were my brother and fiance. And I know what you mean too. Yes I can see if he isnt for all young people I accept that. But I honestly saw about ten people under 35 at the show including myself. It is hard to place any blame really but I am going to have to put it on the record companies. They mainly expose kids to easily digestible crap. It is very hard to find good music in the mianstream any more. Really, it was only by chance that I found out about Joe about two weeks before this show by catching part of a song on a satellite radio I just got for Christmas. And this is a guy I can tell I would have loved from his first album on, but I was just enver exposed. What I really dont get is all the kids that say they dig the classic rock and blues like clapton hendrix and so on, then when there is a guy carrying on their tradition in the best possiblie way they ignore it, or at least arent exposed to it. We'll get em to come aorund one of these days. Believe me though I am trying to spread the word, hopefully next time he is around these parts Ill be able to bring more people along.
I will likely be going to that show north of chicago
