I doubt it.  Whoever stole it must have known who it belonged to.  That along is worth some bragging rights, but you need proof to brag.  Some schmuck still has it.

Guitars: '79 LP Custom, '01 Dickey Betts Goldie - 80 of 114, '00 Chandler Lectraslide
Amps: '00 Marshall 1987x, '70 Marshall 1959 SL, 4x12 JBL D120s
'64 Vibroverb - JBL D130, '66 Super Reverb - CTS Alnicos
'77 Peavey Deuce (great for melting stubborn ear wax)

Re: What are the most valuable single guitars in the world?

I have heard that 58 and 59 explorers and Flying V's are rarer and more valuable than the Les Pauls.  Thought I read that in Vintage Guitar Mag.  Maybe i am wrong.

My List: Not in order by value...

1. Bruce Springsteens Esquire.
2. Mike Campbells Broadcaster
3. Any bursts owned by Mr Page
4. Page's Danelectro and double neck.
5. Any strat associated with Jimi Hendrix... sadly
6. Duane Allmans Hot Lanta Burst... Its a beauty, saw it at the Hall of Fame.
7. Claptons Burst, 335, and Cream SG also at the hall of fame
8. Robert Johnsons Gibson Acoustic... for historical value.
9. I feel like there are some Beatles guitars that would price high... Harrisons Rosewood tele or Country Gentleman, McCartneys Left handed burst or Hofner Bass, Lennon's Casino or Gretsch or Black Rick.
10. Jeremy Galvan's 58 RI Les Paul... lol

I don't think the question is could he afford it...  I think it is does he really care to buy it?  Everything you see him buy has a use and would you really wanna use that out somewhere?  What is that anyway a Fender Mustang?

What about Rory Gallaghers battered old strat, an iconic Guitar and got to be worth a few bob

Re: What are the most valuable single guitars in the world?

Rory has maybe the most battered guitar on the face of the planet and we love him for it.  But he's not the house hold name like Page, Clapton, Hendrix.  I'm still in hope for the AD3 model bringing a couple of bucks some day.  hmm  But first I'd have to sell or die so I hope neither happen any time soon!
