Re: Davy Knowles & Back Door Slam European Tour....
Yes, too bad you couldn't make it Eva + Günter. It was really a great gig and the band was on fire.
I posted a long review on DK's forum: http://davyknowles.proboards.com/index. … ;thread=41. Just look for the very long post on page 2.
I think the whole review ist too long for this thread, so I'll just sum it up:
We (my wife Miri + me) were invited to watch the soundcheck because I wanted to get my guitar signed by Davy. So after the soundcheck, Davy came over and signed my Strat and Miri's mandolin. He also played our instruments (and said he liked them ). Then he showed me his PRS guitar "Ellie" and I got to play it - just accoustically not with an amp.
We even had a little jam. Davy playing my guitar and me playing his. Wow, I'm still under the impression of that moment!
Davy took a lot of time to talk to us. What a great and sociable guy he is...
When they started to play the gig in the evening, the audience crowded in front of the stage and you could see that many people had come because they knew and loved their songs. The audience was twice as big as last time (in March). After the gig, the band spent a lot of time signing autographs and talking to the fans.
What a great day that was!
