Topic: Tallan Noble Latz....

Instead of posting all these separate threads about my buddy Tallan, I thought I'd start this one and then post future comments under it. Got to see Tallan and his Band along with his parents last Saturday at Lions Fest in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. I took a number of videos, but felt I'd post this special one here. Tallan explains before the video, that he once asked Davy Knowles how to play the song, "Tear Down The Walls", which was written by Davy. Well, Davy showed him some of the licks and by the looks and sound of this video, Tallan learned his lesson quite well! cool

By the way, Tallan will be 11 years old in a few days, which makes me wonder what he'll be like in another 11 years? wink

Re: Tallan Noble Latz....

I'd like to fastforward him a bit. But I'm glad he's getting early mileage.

Re: Tallan Noble Latz....

Got to see Tallan with his new band on the same bill with Joanne Shaw Taylor and Tinsley Ellis this past Saturday night. This time the venue was at the Blues Cafe/Rothschild Pavilion in Rothschild, Wisconsin which is just outside of Wausau. Needless to say, as usual Tallan and Band left the crowd shaking their heads. A friend of mine who was seated just behind me and either who had not seen Tallan before or hadn't seen him in a while, kept leaning forward and saying, "I can't believe what I'm seeing!" Yes, I've heard that quite a few times now. wink

Anyway, I took a lot of photos because Carl, Tallan's dad, is planning on having a poster made of Tallan and asked if I could take full body pictures of Tallan performing. In addition, I was able to capture a few of the songs played too. So without further to do...

Re: Tallan Noble Latz....

So Roy, now he's a whole 12 years old, that's insane for that age. And his voice sounds really good, a lot deeper and more range, he must have made it through the "changeover". Now if his parents can just keep the girls away from him, fat chance. lol
Loved the hunting joke.

Re: Tallan Noble Latz....

Every time I see him Tres, his skills take a big leap although, his voice really is a lot better now. As far as girls are concerned, based on this picture from April of last year, I think we may be a little late! wink

OMG, he is one little talented ham and has extremely good taste. lol I did take up the ukelele at about age 8, and guitar at 14. Rick's right, it didn't help.

Re: Tallan Noble Latz....

I don't know Rick and Tres, they said I was a damn cute kid when I was a little boy. I'm not sure hat happened along the way, but obviously I was slapped with the ugly bag a few times later in life. wink

You know what really irritates me? That picture was from April of 2010 and most likely was from the Dallas Guitar show. Well, I traveled down with Tallan and his dad Carl this year to the show, but I didn't see any cowgirls like that! Just my crappy luck I guess! roll  lol

Re: Tallan Noble Latz....

Ran into this clip on YouTube today. I've seen Tallan play acoustic guitar before, but I don't think I've seen him with a twelve string. Anyway, he does "Sweet Home Chicago" on a 6 string and "Life By The Drop" on a twelve. Obviously now, at 12 years of age, his voice has changed and will do some more, so let's go easy on the vocals, OK? wink Enjoy...

Re: Tallan Noble Latz....

really great Roy, thanks. And opening for David, what a thrill. I thought he sang pretty well, you can tell he was a little nervous. He should not worry about his voice at all right now, it will get better as it changes and the more he sings. At least it did happen that way for Joe.
