King of the Blues Competition

So I got an email from Guitar Center about how Randy Scott won the KOB this year....

After watching the video, I thought he was good. But there was nothing jaw dropping about him. So I'm a little torn - I'm glad somebody that didn't necessarily have a "gimmick" win it... but at the same time, I didn't see anything about him that pushes the genre forward.
