Topic: Supergrooup

watched premiere on VH1.com no Joe did he get edited out or something

Re: Supergrooup

wait.... how is it that you saw the premiere, if it doesn't air until tomorrow?  I saw a long trailer for the show, is that maybe what you saw? Just curious...

I don't think Joe would tell us all about it if he wasn't in it-

Re: Supergrooup

On VH1.com you can watch entire first episode i saw no Joe just wandering if maybee its not first show he will be on or did it get edited out

Re: Supergrooup

This is one reason why "no, I don't like it" for this forumat! I am sooo confused about this Supergroup thing WHO knows if I'll get it straight? It is on tomorrow night on our service at 10:00 p.m...and I still have no clue if it's going to be having anything to do with Joe! All I've been able to tell others is the "definite maybe" that I've been able to piece together from the posts that don't stay (by total group enforcement) focused on the straight skiiny info...Not losing hope however...I'm GUESSING we all have different service schedules?!!

Re: Supergrooup

The 1st episode on VH1.com was a shortened teaser episode. I'm sure that the full version wil air tonight at 10pm. I saw another one on VH1 last night and it had different scenes than the VH1.com version. So watch tonight so you don't miss anything!

Re: Supergrooup

I thought it might be something like that... I haven't seen the VH1.com version, but did see the trailer for the show on VH1 last week, and it was pretty long...

I'm still going to watch it tonight... I'd probably be watching it anyway (w/o Joe) because I grew up listening to all of those guys...well, except that bass player-

Re: Supergrooup

The show looks like the Rock N' Roll Surreal life !  Is that all they do is fight and argue ?

I don’t know what the new format has do to with your confusion over the subject. It is just a confusing subject altogether. The old format never made your ramblings any more clear either. Not a bad thing. Your ramblings ramble in either format. Just don't blame the format for confusion.

Here is what I know Stu posted a link in his news letter. The link was for the Super Group page on VH 1.com. There was a way to watch the premier episode now online. I did. I think it seemed short to people because there were no commercials.

The premise of the show is 5 guys put together in a house in Vegas. The cast of characters does not include Joe. Joe was not on the first episode. Joe my guess was filmed  sometime during the taping. When and if it made the final cut nobody knows including Joe. I am setting the DVR to record all new episodes and if Joe appears on one I will have it. If not I will not have wasted too much time watching Two egomaniacs parade onscreen for the rest of the episodes. I ain’t talking about Ted.

Aubry I guess assumes that since Ted and Joe jammed at the Sand Dollar it was filmed for the show. When and if that airs is anybody’s guess. I know it is not on the first episode.

Re: Supergrooup

I believe any modern day reinstatement of the phrase "Supergroup" surely should include Joe Bonamassa... Thanks Jim...I get easily confused and that is easily understated...I too will just record all until something gives me my cup o' Joe... otherwise I'm thinkin' this kinda tv ain't my cup o' tea...for the record I WAS born a ramblin' man, and I've been everywhere man (except Alturas, California)

Re: Supergrooup

I saw the trailer for the show a little while ago and it sure seems like another reality TV show. I'm recording it tonight and it sounds like there's gonna be multiple shows (I was originally under the impression that this ws a single show). Guess I'll just need to record/watch and wait/hope that Joe shows up.
I'll hold judgement until after I've seen tonight's show but, based on the trailer, this looks like something I'd turn off pretty quickly if the possibility of seeing JB wasn't there.

Re: Supergrooup

I'm with Bill S on this one. No Joe, no go.

Re: Supergrooup

No Joe on the premier of Super Group, so maybe the appearance will be on a subsequent episode.  Meantime, after watching/listening to the show in its entirety, I'm compelled to sincerely say-- Joe, thank you for being you!!

Jason Bonham seemed like somebody that wouldn't always be having a meltdown. Otherwise, I don't know, LOL!

Re: Supergrooup

It was torture to sit through an episode of Supergroug.Anyone know if Joe is going to be a guest on another episode?

Re: Supergrooup

the pornstrar/bass player just about made my wife puke, the bit he was saying that all women secretly fantasize about being porn actresses themselves

Re: Supergrooup

It's strange when Ted Nugent seems like the one that's going to get along the best. Scott Ian's a cool guy though. I've always respected him.

I agree, that bass player was disgusting-

Why couldn't they find another bass player to do that show? I never even heard of the guy... I mean, at least the other guys have been around for the last 20+ years, and are all recognizeable, established musicians/ singers. I grew up listening to all of them... but this Biohazard guy?  He RAPS all of his songs and incorporates Rap/Hiphop into his music- i don't understand how this qualifies him to be in a ROCK Supergroup? He seemed more interested in fighting with Sebastian and going to strip clubs than playing music.

Bass players off the top of my head that could leave that guy in their dust are Billy Sheehan, Stu Hamm, and even Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, or the guy from Primus..forgot his name...(many more I'm sure, but these are what I thought of right now)... and they've all been around for a long time... anyone else?

Re: Supergrooup

I have to agree with Phil B.  It was extreme torture to watch an hour episode of Supergroup
waiting to see Joe.  Most of those guys are so full of themselves.  Ego battles galore.  Hope Joe did not get edited out of the show.  If anyone finds out if Joe will be on the show please let us know.  Joe, maybe you'll read this and reply.  I suppose I could sit through another episode if I knew for sure that Joe would make an appearance.  Very disappointing for the first show.
