Re: New Epiphones starting to appear?

Yes this really sucks for sure,I contacted them as soon as I got it,I couldn't even look at it when it got here,I had my wife open the case I just had a feeling I guess. Zzounds says I should get a replacement as they have some still coming. I'm hopin' this is true and the old chain is not just getting jerked. Hope for all those still waiting I hope yours come's in in great shape. And the Saga continues.

Hey Joe we need a spoke's person. big_smile

Are those headstocks scarf joints like regular Epi standards?  That may explain the breakage.

Not sure what a scaf joint is,I didn't even pick it up,just closed the case and called Zzounds. It's boxed up and ready to go back. I use aftermarket necks on the ones I build,Carvins and Warmoth mostly, never seen so many doing the same thing. So far from different stites - 3 busted headstocks,1 broke neck,1 bad neck joint,2 twisted necks. So Sad.  I got a Lp project going on,maybe I'll just throw that into high gear. If my Joe LP come's it comes ,if not somebody send me some Burst Buckers please. tongue

Looking at the shape of the break in the photo, I would say yes.

Re: New Epiphones starting to appear?

There's another Epi JBLP on ebay, but I doubt it will be there long.

Re: New Epiphones starting to appear?

Sorry to be the bearer of more mixed news ..but I've had an update regarding the UK shipment from DV247.

The guitars have reached Amsterdam. However as there appeared to be damage to an outer carton the entire shipment (including the JBLP's) need to be individually quality checked before they can leave.

I was told this will mean no guitar until at least March.

However on the plus point we should be less likely to be recieving guitars with twisted necks etc. as some in the US have recieved. Although theres still two more sets of customs to clear before they reach the dealers and then a further courier trip for those of us who bought mail order so still some scope for further damage. No manufacturing defects should be passed on though.

I couldn't tell you.  I just look around on there when I have some free time and have seen a couple on there.  Since I already got one, just trying to help out those who want them.

Re: New Epiphones starting to appear?

Well I still got my old standby. LOL

If you can afford it, keep it in the family!  That's the reason I posted it on here, was hoping that someone here would get it instead of someone trying to make a quick buck.  I hope at least one of yours shows up in good shape!

Re: New Epiphones starting to appear?

Does anyone know of any other dealers that may still have backorders due to come in other than ZZ?

At the last two gigs we performed I noticed some very unsavory characters eyeballing my R9 Les Paul while we were on break and so I think it is time to leave it at home.

I'd check to see if this store still has their Epi Bonamassa on the wall. It's worth a shot.
