Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

My board I have a few more pedals and now have to figure out how to run the GR-20 in there.

Not exactly breaking news, I suppose, but the digital edition of Premier Guitar that arrived in my inbox today has a pretty clear shot of Joe's solo pedal board:

Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

I've been through enough pedals to fill a decent size board (or two)...until I discovered that the basics is all I need. Only got the one at the mo, Earthquaker Devices Chrysalis (which I've raved about enough in othe posts big_smile ) but planning on getting a good delay (probably a DD3 or another aqua puss, suprise suprise) and a wah (looking forward to the copper-top JB signature wah coming soon!! smile )

My one main regret is selling that Deja-Vibe.... sad

So, here is the re-build. Still not sure about the Lex- although i think it's a matter of tinkering with it..

ST2 is lovely. It's a Klon eater alright!

Jakey, where did you acquire that lovely looking tweed pedalboard?? Looks fab with that finish and the plugs on the side. The pedals on it aren't too bad either wink

Not meaning to butt in...I think I remember him building it himself! Very cool.

Simply....perfect for me.  Though currently BG Wah is replaced with a RMC8 Wah and Aqua Puss is replaced with Boiling Point lately.

Yup, I built it myself. As it happens, I may be selling it, not cos I don;t like it, but because it's literally 1 inch too narrow for the new pedal arrangement. I'd take £250 for it and it cost me £500 to build it.

Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

Here is the updated board I was wiring up earlier today.

Guitar > Cmatmods Compressor > Fulltone '70 > Dano Trans. OD V1 > Luther Drive > OLER Audio Klon(e) > Fulltone Supa Trem > Amp

The Cmatmods Analog Chorus > MXR Carbon Copy are in the loop.

Everything is still wired with George L cable, and power by a ModTone Power Plant.

I think I may exchange the Compressor for the "Deluxe" model, which has a attack control. It will give me more versatility for that pedal.

Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

OK, so at last I get to upload my pedalboard.  I've just had to switch a couple of things around and it looks like I'm going to need a bigger board to fit the Rotosphere on!  I'm currently borrowing the Rotosphere from the keyboard player in my band with a view to buying it - so far I'm sold!  smile

So, the FX loop is hooked up as...  Rotosphere > Tuner > Reverb > Delay > Phaser > Main Amp

The grey metal box on the left is my Buzz Electronics ABY splitter (buffered unit and just £55 in the UK - fantastic value).

The guitar line is like this...
GUITAR 1 and GUITAR 2 into Behringer AB selector > Vox Wah > JBFF > Fulldrive 2 > ABY splitter > AMPs

Not convinced yet that the JBFuzz should sit before the Fulldrive 2 - I would like to see others comments on this, including Joe providing some more obvious advice (the post I've seen is not conclusive).

Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

Lots of very cool pedal boards shown so far.  Although I am a pedal junkie I find that I have the most fun with this type of set up

One of these or these

Into one of these

Controlled by one of these

It doesn't get any better than that in my book.

Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

Hey I've got my own version of each. Mancave started already along with a couple of pedals. Unfortunately a modelling amp for me though. sad

Nothing wrong with that.  I love the line6 stuff.  I travel a lot and play through pod farm on my mac.  It's been a godsend.

Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

it's been ages since i've posted, since getting a better job and on the cusp of getting my own house with my GF.

i'm still rocking either my tele and strat into a dual terror and 2x10 cabinet.

pedal wise, i'm still searching for a great od/Dist/Fuzz/Boost that works well with the dual terror. i do miss having reverb on my amp, but that's a small niggle. was thinking of going out and getting a nice tape echo or tape echo sim. apparantly the strymon works quite well into the front of the amp. there's a few guys that post over on the orange forum that post here too and say that the strymon works nice in the front end of the amp.

at the moment my board is like this

http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w163 … G_0316.jpg

Wah>Polytune>OCD

tending to use the OCD as a boost for lead work, though i quite like it on it's own through the cleaner setting of the DT.
and of course funky blue MDF ala IKEA

Fender 60's Strat>Fulltone OCD V4>>TC Electronics Polytune>Orange Dual Terror>Torres 2x10 Cab(with a vintage 30 and a greenback)

Haven't posted for ages as been playing mostly! But here's the newly rebuilt rig. Really loving it. The amp is a 1973 Hiwatt DR103 and the other amp is a Yamaha Leslie.

Re: The dedicated Joe Bonamassa forum pedalboard thread!

here is mine one iteration ago.  Where the Virgo is now, there is a Taurus also from Celestial.  Gone are also the Clyde (Bad Horsie there now waiting for my Sinna Wah from Celestial effects), and the Ibanez AD99 is gone in favor of the new PGS/TC electronic Alter Ego.  I am back to using cables so the wireless is disconnected and in its place there will be a compressor added...
