I enjoy reading the posts in OLD TOPICS.
Back in the day when Joe used to post here and you got up to seven pages of comments.
Where have all the old forum members gone?
If you’re new to the forum, check out some of the old topics and see some of the antics we used to get up to when there was a bit less moderation.
Lester...
lol that post made me smile....yeah, when this version of the forum first started they would put things in old topics...
of course it usually made me smile to see Joe post
still hoping to get around to copying his posts here and some other good info....
FWIW though some old topics and ones not in that section don't have their original context...one heavy user quit and asked all his posts be removed so there are quite a few threads that don't make as much sense with his missing posts and elsewhere many a post got deleted after folks thought twice
anyway you can see what Joe posted by clicking here https://forum.jbonamassa.com/search.php … user_id=58
the last one kills me...there are missing posts in that thread...always wondered if that's why joe stopped poking his head in here but he hadn't been active for a while before that. he used to post in a lot of sections but then mostly just gear. Was always cool to see him answer gear questions. I see he still does a little on Instagram but its so tedious sorting thru th comments and replies to catch them

just one I found...have to go back to old topics...some of that makes me shake my head or cry as much as laugh though
I do smile though when I find an old topic and see some usernames I miss

it made me smile and then made me sad because there will not be any minor league baseball this year, it is canceled entirely. So I won't see any of my Birmingham Barons either

I just got kicked out of the Flat Earth Facebook Group, because I asked if the 6 foot social distancing rule was going to push some people over the edge?

Reading the news. Frowning and heavy breathing, then reading this:
"Indian doctor duped into buying 'Aladdin's lamp' for $41,600
Two men have been arrested in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh for allegedly duping a doctor into buying an "Aladdin's lamp" that they promised would bring him wealth and health.
As part of the con, they even pretended to conjure up spirits from the lamp, in line with the tale from The Arabian Nights, Indian media report.
The men had reportedly wanted more than $200,000 for the lamp but settled for a down payment of $41,600.

Taken from a UK 1963 movie, Live It Up; Really, this should be on a "Blast from the past" thread, but when I tell you the stone-faced guy on the left, wiggling for all he's worth is a young Ritchie Blackmore (2 bands before Deep Purple), now try and stop smiling.
I believe the guy on the semi-acoustic is Chas (Chas & Dave) Hodges and the drummer is Mick Underwood (Episode Six & later Gillan). If I'm right, the guy on the steel guitar would be Ken Lundgren who seemed to drop off the radar when the band collapsed.
Unintended consequences - if not for Joe, I would never click on this link and now this little gem made my morning - hilarious!!!

Love Keaton; re-watching these, you realise how acrobatic [and fearless] the guy was; great timing.
