Re: Epiphone JB Les Paul

Hot damn.  Ordered 2 tonight from AMS.  I can't believe the price.  I was sure it was going to be $899 or $999 (considering the hard shell case).  I'm very happy and have had 2 good experiences in the past with AMS, so no worries there.

Hello Joe.......I'm a huge loyal fan of yours for sure..!!
There are  a bunch of us in Niagara Falls that do drive at least 600 miles from our area to see you....
My question to you is......Would you gig with your EPI JB LP ??
Is it going to be a part of your gigs in your guitar collection????
Every EPI I ever had (3) I either sold or traded..
Oh YES.....I do have my EPI JB LP ordered for the simple reason I was TOO late to get a Gibson......

Ok guys and gals...  Here is the lowdown on the Epi JBLP...  It came out great, it is unaged.. After much research and keeping in mind that the price needs to be affordable especially to younger kids.  ( my whole intention of doing the model). I decided to keep it unaged.  As for the custom shop JB's there will be a run in Sunburst.   Wildwood guitars in Colorado is doing them.  I have seen a few pics and they look cool.  I am actually really excited to see the finished product.  As for the Blue ones... The Lucky 5 (yes 5 mine was the last one) of us should should hold on to them. They look like they will be the rarest ones.   I am not sure how many Sunburst will be made... That I will know shortly.

Re: Epiphone JB Les Paul

I'm in. I already have a Gibson custom shop JBLP but couldn't pass this one up, especially for the price and features. I own an Epi LP aleady and aside from the dodgy pickups (since replaced with Gibsons) it's a quality instrument.
My plans are to slap on a Bigsby to the JB Epi:

Re: Epiphone JB Les Paul

Despite thinking it's beyond me, my wife says I can get one yikes She's a saint, bless her.

I'm conflicted though. I'd feel a bit selfish, while going all Gollum over it  smile

My finger is on the trigger...do I pull?

Re: Epiphone JB Les Paul

Rick, the gem you talk about is the Epi, right?  wink  (j/k)

It gets better, though. She says she will buy it for me!
Don't know what I've done to deserve this.
I also didn't know she had £500 lying around, just collecting dust.
Ah, well, who cares. I get a beautiful guitar out of it. cool

You'd be surprised.
Some people have to travel the world before they bump into someone like her.
I did the travelling and found...nothing.
Turns out, she was right in front of me the whole time. cool

I'm going to get my order placed when I get home from work in about 6 hours.
I guess I'd better order that CD she wants too smile

Ouch!
Does anyone know if any have been shipped yet?
When I ordered mine it said delivery was in 3-12 days.

EDIT:
Just got a email from DV247 (my supplier). It reads...

"Dear Customer

Firstly please accept my sincere apologies for the delay on your order and be advised the situation has not changed.

All items from Gibson are prone to long delays and although we have ordered this item with our suppliers and are continuingly monitoring it for you, our suppliers have advised that this order is still being processed.

We will continue to monitor your order and advise you on a weekly basis. If, of course, any information becomes available in the meantime we will advise you immediately.

Once again, many apologies for the inconvenience caused by this delay.

Kind regards

Re: Epiphone JB Les Paul

Hey everyone, new poster here...

I'm glad JB's able to do this. Very excited since it's in my price range (college guy here). I'm ordering one in the next couple days from American Musical. The specs look amazing, and most $700-$1000 LP's I've played feel pretty solid compared to their Gibson counterparts. I'm banking that the people at Epiphone are able to do it justice!

Anyone else put in an order recently? The only barrier now is the wait until January...
