The Late Show with David Letterman did Drum Solo Week II this past Mon. thru Thur. and the featured drummer Mon. night 26 year old Tony Royster Jr. was smokin'. Anybody else heard this kid before? After a Wiki check I found out he'd performed with Paul Schaeffer before, thus an invite to Drum Solo Week, which once again begs the question, why hasn't Joe sat in with the Late Night Band or performed on Late Night having worked with Anton numerous times??????

Just wanted to give a shout out to one of my favorite drummers, Mike Johnston!
After Brack and Mr. Moody, ha ha!
Jason Bonham is going to be in town in Oct.  Drummers are always in the background but it's nice when you have someone like Mike Johnston that can be in the forefront of music so drummers can get the love they deserve.
I got to say, if I could put a concert together, it would be Mike Johnston and Eric Czar in their own sets, then together. With some added guests
When I saw the first video, he reminded me of a little boy in a candy shop.  Such excitement, I wanted to be at the store

Most non-drummers make the mistake of trying to be too loud.
I first started out playing with brushes - i grant you, not as much fun, but it teaches you discipline.
