The show was awesome! My 17-year old son and I were simply beside ourselves with excitement and delight before and after the concert. Where we're from (Philippines), Joe's CDs aren't available and we rely on the internet and, occasionally, returning relatives and friends, to hear his work. We've been fans since early 2009 when we first read about him and have  been following his music since then. Watching him live in concert (this was on the top of our list) last night was an absolute treat for us. Now, we eagerly look forward to Joe's concerts later in the year and in 2011 and will make every effort to attend at least one of them.

By the way, it was great to finally get a hold of his CDs and other memorabilia at the gate!

How was JB's voice last night in NYC?  Any sense that he was getting sick???

he wiped his nose with some tissues a few times....but i couldn't tell he was sick.....give a listen to last nights' Blues Deluxe

Yes, he did seem to wipe his nose a couple of times. Other than that, you couldn't tell that he was coming down with something. It was a powerful and exciting performance. Thanks, Joe! Your show was the highlight of our trip. Get well soon!

Thanks for the report Copper and welcome to the forum. It's great that you were able to finally get your wish and see Joe live as well as pick up his CD's. That's a long way to go to see a Joe B. concert. Maybe he will give an appearance in the Phillipines in the future and your countrymen can enjoy his music too.

Hi Rick B! It's good to be in this forum. It would be great if Joe B could actually make a trip to and perform in the Philippines sometime in the future. We have quite a healthy blues-rock-jazz community there and he'd be warmly welcomed for sure.
