two amps

I'm doing a super small scaled down version of the multi amp thing...two amps.  I'm running a Fuchs ODS for the Dumble things and a Boogie DC5 EQ'd like a Marshall.  I know the 6L6 thing isn't going to nail the Marshall tone exactly..I do have the Boogie set with more gain and a slight scooped mid.  How are you guys EQing the amps?  I've tried various settings etc and still not getting the violin type tone like JB, EJ etc.  Besides getting a EL34 amp, any suggestions?
